Again ?, they've reported that 2 months ago already. Since El Loco has been send away by the players of the previous two clubs he coached it probably means the Glazers are struggling negotiating Special Gone's lay-off terms.
Makes me wonder though what's the claim and pursuit for "Attack, attack, attack" worth if ManU appoints a manager who's primary legacy is parking the bus.
Would be interesting to see though how he does managing a club which doesn't have the best sqaud in the leaque.
Did he have the best squads in Europe at Inter and Porto when he won the Champions League?Makes me wonder though what's the claim and pursuit for "Attack, attack, attack" worth if ManU appoints a manager who's primary legacy is parking the bus.

With Inter he had one of the best squads, especially that season. But they played some dreadfull matches. Main plan was sitting back like only Italian teams can (with Materazzi and Zanetti) and exploiting (on the counterattack) the quality's of Sneijder in midfield and Milito and Eto'o up front (with their speed and finishing ability).

It's all relative. You can't win the CL with a bad squad, not even in 2004 and certainly not now in 2016 wenn only a handfull of clubs can win it. And Both at Inter and Porto he had good squads. Can't really remember the Porto win, but just seen on the WWW he won the final against Monaco that year (who barely survived the group stages), so it doesn't seem to be going into history as being the most glorious year for CL football.

The salient point is they did not have the best squad. With Inter he had one of the best squads, especially that season. But they played some dreadfull matches. I'd check how many goals mourihnos team scored compared to united teams over the yeArs before regurgitating press mythology.
Ronaldo probably scored 75% of those qoals.....He was critized both at Real and Chelsea by his own players for playing too conservatively....

His first Chelsea teAm were brilliant to watch, he made a st inter Milan Ecl winners,an inferior Madrid team title winners over barca.
I should dig up that "st Inter" 2009-2010 line-up if I were you, it's a better line-up than what ManU currently can bring to the table. And a team like Real is indeed very inferior ;-)

Please dig out both teams and compare them to the best squads in Europe. You'll find Maureen's weren't the best squads. But do carry on. And a team like Real is indeed very inferior ;-)

So what did inter achieve prior to and after Jose ? How did Porto do in the champs league after Jose .
If your suggestions were true those teams would have done better than they have since he left.
and your ronaldo comment sums up the weakness of your argument ,his teams have more often than not outscored United .
Anyway ,if you don't want him fine ,I have a different opinion ,but I think we can agree it would be better than the turgid st we have watched for the last 3 seasons bar 5 or 6 games.

The best squads in Europe ? when ? in what year ? which nation ? If you can't (or not willling to) read, unable to use Google or unable to compare or put squads in perspective both in terms of their direct competition as in time, and even haven't even seen CL football (for exsmple in 2010), theirs really nothing I can do for you...

Best squads at the time Maureen won the CL with Porto and IM. When you make statements about having the best squad like you did, be prepared to back it up. Otherwise all you do is keep showing your lack of footballing knowledge. So do you remember 2004 or not?And as for winning with a bad squad, at the start of the season virtually everybody would have looked at Leicester's squad on paper and thought they'd be relegation fodder.
As an outsider looking in I can't believe ManU wouldn't want Mourinho. Proven track record everywhere he goes, knowledge of the league, is used to managing expectations and pressure at big(ger) clubs, why wouldn't they want him? So he winds folk up, Ferguson did that for years. So his teams might not lay the most free flowing football? Beggars can't be choosers. And at the minute you're looking like beggars.
I've always thought Mourinio wants to manage United.
If he would agree that it has to be long term then I would be happy.
When I heard that LvG will retire at the end of next season my attitude was, "Why the flying fk have we taken him on".
I dont want to go back to the Tommy Doc days. Fun football but someone else wins the title.
With SAF we had great teams and titles but he always knew we needed a strong defense first.
One or two seasons where are defense was being rebuilt, SAF changed to a very attacking setup to fool the opo but he always knew the importance of building the team based on a strong defensive line up.
Was the Mourinio Chelsea team with Drogba etc. boring ? Its not what I remember.

Man Utd aren't quite beggars. They have the pulling power and cash to bag a top manager.
Trust you to take it literally. They're out of the CL, not in it last year, struggling to finish fourth, playing poor style, not scoring, best player wanted away, generally in a bit of a rut and the fans aren't happy.
Yes they've got loads of money, but they had loads of money when they appointed Moyes and LvG. Klopp's gone. Guardiola's gone. Ancelotti's gone. Giggs should be a non starter. Mourinho is available.
I can't see anyone else with the provenance and cojones to take the job on, at least until Warburton gets us back into the CL.

Is think Moyes got the job as they were hoping for the Scottish link to work again. Wasn't it Fergie who said he was the man? LVG was an odd decision. However I'd bet he's paid very handsomely.
There is more than 4 quality managers in the world.
Don't think anyone will take the last bit literally. I've more chance of winning the national lottery tonight.

You just worry about beating the pub team today. With two defeats on the bounce nothing's a stick on for Deila.I wonder who'll be managing you next year when we're back.
Quite looking forward to this match. For the first time in a while! Some of the stuff against Stoke and Derby was worth watching.
As for the Mourihno rumours and his alleged bad behaviour being an issue, have we forgotten just how despicable Fergie could be when he wanted too! And we loved him for it. Mourihno would love to emulate Fergie and I'd like to see him given a shot. If not then just give it Giggs and the rest of the Class of 92 and see if the can replicate their success as managers.
