The premiership is changing, I see this happening to the 'big' teams more and more.....
Every VClub in the premiership can now buy very good players so there will be more and more of the results you didnt quite expect... I dot think its quite as easy as to say they just have not performed.

Club Legend and all round top chap Sir Bobby Charlton is getting the South Stand named after him. This is great news, a proper celebration of a career / almost lifetime related to Manchester United (and I bet he also hates it called Manu..). This is a good thing, about time etc etc.

So is it wrong now that a part of me thinks this is a sweetener because Jose is incoming? I really hope not (it's not a sweetener at least) - but if it is the presentation is happening before the Everton game on 2nd April which is not the last home game of the season. I'm probably in tin foil hat mode but is there a significance of the date I've missed?

Great news.

The cynical side of me thinks it's to appease him cos Jose is being hired.

Having been slightly stroppypreviously, I'm going to agree with you. Bit of a bugger for you guys in Merseyside blow ever you can now smile that we're getting all the unwanted Press again and Jurgen can do his thing under the radar

An article on Woodward's tenure thus far. Doesn't make great reading.

Read that Nicky Butt has become head of the United Academy? Good on him and nice to see the class of '92 evolving into coaching.

Yeah it could be a good move for the club, and it's much better from Nicky's point of view to learn his way up through the ranks, so to speak, than to try to jump in at the deep end. It's not exactly going super well for Giggsy and the Neviller having gone straight to being no.2 and no.1 respectively.

I did see some wag suggesting that as the South Stand is being renamed after Sir Bobby we should be looking to name the Physio room after Phil Jones, but that seems a little harsh.

Sounds like me, like he's been fed on a diet of poor football served up by LVG! In all seriousness though I do hope if he is ill that he get's better soon. Even though you don't see him smiling too much these days, if at all, it's good to have him at the games alongside SAF and the other club legends.

I still think the boards sacking of Moyes was to knee jerk and he would have gone on to be a great Man United manager!

resentment ? I think most on here would be delighted that if its not united winning then it be leicester or spurs as opposed to city or arse.

The whole top quarter of the Prem should hang its head in shame this season, though. Leicester winning the league? Utd, Arsenal, City and Chelsea have all grossly underperformed.
Totally agree.
It's shameful that a cohesive, well functioning team, built on hard work, tactics and team spirit honed on the training ground, should be winning the league, as opposed to the anointed elite, with their overpaid star players and high profile managers? Shameful in deed.

Bit of an insult to Leicester don't you think? It's not as if they are undeserving of top spot? United's performances have been poor this season but I think it's wrong to take anything away from the teams that have been playing well.

Maybe it's just a minority view born out of frustration wink
