Me too.

Sympathy for Stevie ... Bruce. He looks really stressed and battle scarred lately. Poor sod. He and his team deserves better luck.

They say bad ref decisions that go against you even out over a season. What has happened to Hull in that respect this season goes against that so called law of averages.

Losing to Hull? Can't see it happening.

I really hope we can get some chances up to our strikers next season, this is the thing we need to work on the most in pre-season imo. They are so isolated in this system and are feeding on scraps. Sadly it does look with the waving like Falcao is going to be leaving at season end. I guess we need to be buying somebody big that can hold the ball up, like Pelle or Lukaku and not a predatory box type player (Chicharito anyone?). We'll win nothing without goalscoring strikers. It'll be sad to see Dave go, but if we continue keeping possession the way we do, do we really need him? Using him as a makeweight in a deal for Bale wouldn't be a bad bit of business...would it?

Hey ho, I've renewed my season tickets for next season now but I'm not really expecting us to be competing unless we are very active in the transfer market.

I agree.

But we would have 10 more points if RVP and/or Falcao had finished half of the (few) chances that they have had. The best strikers only need 1 or 2 chances to score. Falcao has need 4 or so, which isn't good enough.

It counts for not much at all really but in the warm up yesterday, Falcao was striking the ball so well. Given the chances he will score, I find it incredible that we haven't created those chances largely I put the blame on Young and Valencia and yes I think Young has been much better this season than last. Yet again yesterday a cross to the back post resulting in a goal, this time not Fellaini but Herrera. I'm not complaining we scored, but it's one dimensional. We've got to draw opposition players out. A goal scoring ACM would help. Depay might help here.

we're going to be very active, maybe to active to actually challenge for the title,5 or so new players will need time to bed in and adjust to the prem if they are from abroad.

Herrera and Mata have contributed this season but they're not exactly prolific, Carrick's gone another season only having scored 1 goal. It definitely is a problem that needs looking at.

Your new signing surely adds a few?

I hope so. In the match day programme yesterday LVG talked about Depay, I forget the actual wording, but I read it as though Depay has potential, he's one for the future, will need to adapt to the EPL...I kind of read it that we can expect to see him playing on MUTV for the U-21's. I hope I'm wrong.

There is a big gulf in class between the Dutch League and the PL. I think he will be managed carefully to make sure he integrates well. I think a lot of the tricks he pulls PL defenders wouldn't fall for so much so I dont expect him to have the same goal tally, although even 10 would be a great help.

Falcao is a tough one, I thought he looked better yesterday and ultimately he will pay the price for poor service from midfield. The most annoying thing is that I think in 12 months time we may rue the decision to let him leave when he starts banging them in for a.n.other. £40 odd million is too much of a gamble though.

There is one United player who has scored 29 goals in 36 top flight games this season...

Given the players ManU currently have Í don't really see why Depay should start for the U21's; it's not like he has a Ribery, Robben, Hazard or Ronaldo in front him in the line-up ;-)

I am withholding all judgment on Depay until I see him in the Prem. I don't think the stats tell us much at all.

I would still rather we give Janujaz games - he is an absurd talent and, in the long term, could be world class. ADM is a different kettle of fish. He's become a bad player overnight (to contradict an old cliché)!

There certainly is a difference; but you only have too look at the vast number of players that went from the Dutch Leaque to the PL in say the last 5 years to discover that it really can't be a "gulf" apart from a few Hazards, Aquero's, DeGea's, DiMaria's, Ivanovic's, Costa's, etc. And average age is a factor too.

This, I have watched him in several games this year. He seems to be the invisible man as far as his teammates are concerned. He can't do much if they don't even try and find him with the ball.

Yesterday was proof. He made a good run the ball wasn't delivered into him and the chance was missed. His hands went up in the air in frustration. he would have been desperate to score yesterday but you're dead right if his teammates don't find him he can't score.

This has been a recurring theme IMO. I have seen it pretty much every time he's been on the pitch. If the United management haven't figured it out they aren't so bright IMO.

That said, from what I've seen of him, I'm also not entirely sure he's cut out for the Premier league. Even so, I don't think we've seen anything like what he could have done.

DDG. Is a gone. just wonder if LVG was thinking to take him off and let him know how much we love him, but as it was his injury I doubt it very much.

I know it probably doesn't compare, but, the best goal I've ever seen scored live, was by Diego Forlan in training. It was a cross from the corner area to where he was stood, centrally about 30 yards from goal, he struck it on the volley so sweetly and the ball flew into the top corner, such an amazing strike.

Thing is though, it was one of those strikes where the striker looks like they're barely putting any effort in. Whereas in every match I saw Forlan play he looked like he was trying to hit the ball as hard as he could, and as a result all his shots flew all over the place.

Not really sure what my point is, other than a player can look a lot different in training than they do when there's the pressure of being in a match situation.

As an aside, I like Falcao and want/wanted it to work out for him.

All good here, thanks Bill, although needing a reboot on my riding to bring the fun back. I thought you were all Blyth Spartans fans up your neck of Northumberland wink
