All good here, thanks Bill, although needing a reboot on my riding to bring the fun back. I thought you were all Blyth Spartans fans up your neck of Northumberland wink
Steady on!

Good article from Andy Mitten on all things Utd and DeGea

http://www.espnfc.com/club/manchester-united/360/b...

Did lol at this bit

United played well in a first half in which Arsenal didn't manage a single shot and a surprising number of players from both teams slipped. Players used to get booked when United and Arsenal were heavyweights going at each other, whereas now they slip. Maybe it was a tribute to Steven Gerrard.

This is VERY bad for LFC, dont care what anyone says - his form has been nowhere near as good this year, but for me there is a number of reasons for that.

To lose the Golden boy sends out more bad signals about LFC. Something needs to be done.

Agreed.

It is important for what it says about the club, rather than because he is a great player (he isn't - he had about 10 good games, a bit like Walcott and plenty of other quick young wingers/strikers in the Prem).

Sterling really does come across as thick as horse st and he's showing it.

Liverpool fans thinking they're going to get £40m for him? I'd be shocked if it's 30 and that's only because he's English.

30m for SHAW??? that fee alone puts Sterling to 40m (we all know he is not worth that against other players, but because he is English and 20 we could demand that from an English club)

Credit to you Sye

I fully agree with what you are saying and am surprised at the "Oh he is st anyway let him go" comments from other LFC fans.

I dont know if it would be of interest but my mate on FB was talking about RAWK last night, apparently Ben Smith of the BBC was interviewed and hinted that Sterling may have signed the contract if Rodgers was not in charge.

Predictable.

Luke Shaw hasn't set a bench mark for transfer fees, especially ones regarding unhappy players and one that is probably going to act like a knob if Liverpool don't let him leave. If Liverpool get £40m for him then fair play, they've pulled off a miracle.

If he goes to Chelsea then £30m wouldn't be out of the question since it's another English club but you still see that as a bad price for him.

Big problems at LFC , made even bigger by the fact that financial fair play looks like its getting scrapped -
As for BR I have always supported him and still will if he is in charge next year, at the same time though if we did manage to get someone in proven who is a name players will sign for (As lets face it BR isnt) then of course I would support thim

The selling of Raheem is anything but good for the club, only way I would accept it is if its 40m+ as there are better players out there for that money (but then you have to get them)

Yes , min min I would take is 35m
You can disregard Shaw as much as you want but he wanted to leave Southampton so situation is no different - If Lallana is going for 25m , shaw for 30m etc Sterling at his age is going for 40m - purely as he re sale value in 4 years wont be any less.

Sterling hasn't done anything yet to warrant such a price tag (£40m+).

He had 1 good season, he's not been great this season and he's inconsistent. Shaw wasn't the first expensive youngster and won't be the last.

Sterling's contract runs out at the end of next season as well, no? From what I remember Shaw had a lengthy contract, over 4 years I think. Liverpool risk losing a lot of value if they don't sell him this summer and if Liverpool are going to demand £40m+ for him then they might find themselves stuck with an unhappy Sterling.

It doesn't matter anyway because you're only going to spend it on Danny Ings and Bobby Zamora.

No way with our Yanks let him go cheap if he goes
He is 20 and as of last year rated best youngster in Europe , 100 appearances for LFC already - he has done enough to warrant a much bigger fee than the over weight Shaw

LFC wont get much for Sterling. £25-30m, I expect.

LFC don't worry me at all with BR at the helm. He is a complete tosser and has an appalling record against the other big clubs.

Liverpool would be lucky to get 5th again next season, in my view. Spurs look to me to have a better manager and a squad that is about as good.

We'll have to disagree. Personally if a club pays £40m for Sterling I think they're a bit mental, unless it's Chelsea.

I cant see it with Sterling. I would rather have Janujaz, and we don't even play that kid!
