I'm optimistic if we don't win and get in the CL LVG will be on his bike, and if we do win we (probably) get in the CL. Makes things far less stressful.

Also Bayern have apparently beaten us to Renato Sanches, the next big midfield thing apparently for some Martial type fee. If we were in for him and didn't get it done then WOODWARRDDDD! but apparently he is quite raw and overrated so maybe it's for the best.

to be fair with these things he could be a Martial, but then he could be a Memphis, time will tell.

I find it difficult to find anything positive under LVG I have to admit

I had a sneaky feeling we would snap up that Sanches, he looks excellent in fairness. We'll probably sign Will Hughes instead

Bayern have announced signing Hummels too. Not that surprising, but another of those linked to us that would actually have been a good & safe signing. They certainly seem to get their business done properly, a good model for the rest of us.

Excited for the game tonight, strangely in this season of ditchwater performances, should be a good atmosphere at least. We've done better against teams in the top half, fingers crossed that carries on tonight.

Pretty sure LVG is gone either way, some say it's a done deal, the evidence does support a view that it's (Mourinho) a done deal.

If we'd have gone out of the FA cup and we couldn't qualify for ECL I think he'd have already gone and new manager in/Giggs 'til season end.

This way the club save a little on compo and LVG get's a cup final as his final ever game in football management, which I guess would be a nice touch.

BTW, anybody got any spares for the final? I'm in the second ballot tomorrow but don't hold up much hope as there's loads of fans that went to every home game this season and haven't got final tickets. I opted out of 1 cup match.

These stories always follow the same format

Utd scouts are spotted at a game. (Do not mention the 5-10 other scouts at said game)
Pick a player preferably in a position we are deficient
Print story that Utd are interested in said player
If player comes to Utd highlight the exclusive you managed to get
If player doesn't print story about Utd being beaten to said player
Repeat
