If he has any self respect and pride, he would not go to China to play football. He could earn 250k a week with us, it's not as if he needs the money!
Personally i'm really looking forward to this season. Not just because of Jose with us but Pep, Conte, Poch, Wenger and Klopp. All this before any players have been signed!!
The season is only a few days gone & were all gagging for the next one to start.Personally i'm really looking forward to this season. Not just because of Jose with us but Pep, Conte, Poch, Wenger and Klopp. All this before any players have been signed!!
Could well be the best ever.
Potentially very exciting season, my Everton mate said Pellegrini is looking pretty good to go there as well.
Top 8 could be absolutely wide open next season and thats as you say without anyone signing a player yet

I wasn't being serious. As amazing as Leicester did, I agree that I can't see them at the sharp end this coming year. If nothing else, their CL adventure will stretch their squad a lot.
I think the CL will be less of a problem. I expect them to go out in the group stages.BrabusMog said:
I really hope you guys get Ibrahimovic, he will be great value on and off the pitch.
I'd love it if we signed him. Class player, won titles everywhere and still scoring goals. He is very much like Cantona in his arrogance, but you know he still has the skills to show it on the pitch. GTO-3R said:

Is there just a hint of a chance that with his supreme arrogance Ibrahimovich might be just a little Costa-slash-Suarez when the rather ruffian Premier League defenders attempt to make their mark ..... on him.
This is a man who threatened to break both Van der Vaarts legs after VDV accused him of injuring him deliberately in a training game (they were team mates...); He picked up the footballing equivalent of a Tasmanian devil (Gattuso) and put him in a bin just for winding him up.I don't actually want him to do anything, of course, but intimidation and presence is something we have lacked for a while now. Would Noble have picked up an injured Herrera and carted him off the pitch if Zlatan had been nearby? Would Herrera have let him? Not so sure.
Regardless - very exciting year ahead. Can't wait to get back into it already

Another big name to hide behind has come to United.
And this is how he's being presented to the peanut gallery:
"Portuguese coach has won 22 trophies since 2003
José Mourinho will take over as manager of Manchester United from the 2016/17 season, signing a three-year contract with an option to stay at the club until at least 2020.
José, 53, has managed at the top level of European football for over a decade and in that time has won league titles and cups in four countries (Portugal, England, Italy and Spain), as well as winning the UEFA Champions League twice – in 2004 with FC Porto and in 2010 with Inter Milan.
Announcing the appointment, Ed Woodward said: "José is quite simply the best manager in the game today. He has won trophies and inspired players in countries across Europe and, of course, he knows the Premier League very well, having won three titles here.
"I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome him to Manchester United. His track record of success is ideal to take the club forward."

Lot's of "fame dropping"; it already starts with the 1st line, the number of titles he won, and it goes on, winning titles here, there, everywhere, "his track record of success is ideal to take the club forward", yada yada.
Titles, success, this must be IT, you can see Wayward shining behind his desk, any other idea to appoint him (or not appoint him) probably never crossed his mind.
Just like managing expectation never crossed his mind, he doesn't seem to manage anything other than his own time and presence at the club, while ManU stumbles from one manager (and player) to the next.
Seems like Gose got a fine job on his hands, let's just hope for him, ManU won't be his 3th consecutive failure.
Which proves my point:
Meanwhile, part of Mr.Waywards responsibilities:
• Since 2013, Mr. Woodward has taken responsibility for all aspects of the football club, including transfers and the world famous Manchester United Academy.
http://ir.manutd.com/corporate-governance/board-of...
He's take over SAF's role on the above after SAF left. Has he taken any responsibility for United's current situation ?
And by the way, does United have anyone on their board with a footballing background altogether ? It's full of Glazers, marketing people and an ex-investment banker.
What a dreadful club, there are small clubs in Germany and Holland that are better lead than this marketing monstrosity.

The point you keep missing is progress.

ManU showed it's not about progress, it's all about short term results and ROI for the Glazers. Style of play, whether it's good or bad, or something in between, is not even secondary. ManU has been used to success in the past two decades and they want it back. Plus they have a P&L (aka sponsor and tv right deals, etc.) based on a club with success.

Again, a troll needs to try much harder.
Utd fans do not want and will not tolerate 'expectation management'. Moyes lost me the moment he started saying we should expect to lose a lot of games.
Utd have the money, players and fan base to challenge for the title every year. We have had enough of excuse makers and weaklings.

Utd's press release concerning LVG's appointed had much the same waffle: http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Footbal...Lot's of "fame dropping"; it already starts with the 1st line, the number of titles he won, and it goes on, winning titles here, there, everywhere, "his track record of success is ideal to take the club forward", yada yada.

In fact having read both PRs, I think they just copied and pasted LVGs for Jose and changed a couple of words!
