Scared that Utd will resume normal service now that they have a good manager, leaving all their loser teams to do what they do best.

It's what you DESERVE for having a United management full of classless, spineless, clueless, marketing horney Muricans running the show of a club who's in denial for the mistakes made years ago.

I'd say a perfect match:
DeltonaS - I think you have some anger issues with United. Did they take your lunch money when you where a child? Quite interesting to see how you have such an issue. Yes United's board have made some mistakes with managers and transfers over the last few years, but how does that make them classless and spineless?

Woodward certainly knows how to make money for the club. The sponsorship deals only other teams can dream off. The money rolls in even if we don't perform on the pitch.

I'm not the biggest fan of Jose but I think he is the best manager for the club at the moment and I think he will be a success.

Can I ask who you support as its not United.

Child-like naivety from you.

When you get a chance to be a grown up do an analysis of Charlton vs Rooney at England level - it is really quite surprising with simple facts that you might even understand.
Your failed attempt to patronise reflects your inability to follow reasoned argument without resorting to insult (and yes I see the irony in that statement). The point was that although Wooney had scored alot of goals many of them were against inferior opposition not of the calibre of Wooney or England which lesser players would also have scored against. It was not a comparison between Wooney's scoring record and the record of player A,B or C.

There, not difficult is it?

"it is really quite surprising with simple facts that you might even understand."

Anyway, this simple point has been made and understood by the ones who can and the ones who are willing so I will draw a line under it, if however you wish to continue the childish name calling then feel free.....fill your boots!

So we suddenly have 2 posters, both with low post counts regularly posting in the Utd thread, posting long rants and using nicknames

I assume Deltona and Scratched are one and the same?

Good morning to you fellow United fans, how do we see the transfers going this summer for our lot? After all the speculation this week about Ibrahimovic it seems he may well be our first and despite the fact he may be a disruptive influence in the squad, he could be a useful catalyst in some slightly higher profile transfers.
Ibra aside, will we make most signings before or after the Euro's and what sort?
Half a dozen bright young things? (it seemed to me that at one stage Chelsea policy was to buy every young player they could get their hands on)
Previously under-achieving established players? (the ones who realistically won't win much if they stay with their boyhood or long term club)
Or will it be all attempted 'marquee' signings who I'm not certain we'll attract yet? (weird to describe normally top-end players as a big tent)

I don't think I want to see radical changes this summer, just tweaking really. I'd rather that JM took the season to see what he can do with what we have already, as I'm sure several players were underperforming for us this year and have a lot more to give (Scheiderlin, Herrera, Darmian and of course Depay to name a few). Maybe 3 signings tops so long as they are good quality with the right mindset.

I do feel we could use a CF that can provide something different to what Martial & Rashford can - Ibrahimovic certainly fits the bill there for a year or two. Probably would be a good move to bring a bigger CB in to handle the physicality of the Prem, preferably someone experienced who the likes of TFM, McNair and Smalling even can learn from. That would also free up Blind to cover LB and also midfield.

Not 100% sure on the right side if we need to bring someone with pace there or not yet. Yes it would make us stronger, but I have a feeling that Lingard deserves a chance there (rather than in the middle) and also I think Rashford could do a job there also. Bringing someone in (like Willian / Mane) would pretty much cut the chances of that down.

We need to find some proper leadership / fight in the team too - if the new boys bring it in then great, but perhaps JM can get it out of the existing bunch too.

In a perfect World it'd be nice to have our dealings done before the Euro's so that prices aren't inflated following good performances of prospective targets. I can't see it happening though, the transfer window doesn't actually open until the 1st July, after the tournament has started, so actually getting signatures on contracts for the players, terms negotiations, medicals etc won't happen whilst the tournament is ongoing.

My hope is that our transfer business is done before we go on tour.

Good point, but some years agreements are tied up before that aren't they?

Undoubtedly, and then they just wait until the window's open to make it official.

Trickier when there's a summer tournament and players are away with their respective National teams though. Hodgson even said yesterday that he doesn't want transfer business doing whilst the players are with England, so I guess if we are in for Stones nothing will happen there until England's tournament ends.

Transfers have already been announced. That guy to Arsenal for 30 odd mil. Liverpool I think already have announced 3. No need to wait till the 1st to announce. Just the player doesn't formally become a player until the 1st.

That Rashford is a great prospect + he seems like a decent lad, He takes a decision against him without all the ranting and raving like Rooney use to do, hope he sets the Euros alight.
Going by that CL final last night I would avoid offering big money for a Ronaldo return because his best days look behind him, the same goes for Torres.

Lets really simplify it for you.

Goals in friendlies are goals against teams you choose to play so may be considered questionable when considering goals in competitions which are goals against teams you cannot choose or avoid to play.

In 52 goals scored for England Rooney has 16 goals in friendlies.

In 49 goals scored for England Charlton has 32 goals in friendlies.

I imagine quite a few people will disagree, but I can't remember the last time when either Ronaldo or Torres delivered the goods in a big, big game?!

Ronaldo didn't turn up and could trap the ball further than I can pass it, but as per usual it all became about him and his penalty.

Ego gone mad.
