Saw our new boy, Memphis today, took me a while to place him as we were edging along the A56 in the rush hour traffic this evening. Nice S Class coupe, the Dutch plates decided it for me. He looked tiny!

Nani just couldn't care less about football. Not as rare as you would expect amongst footballers! See also Anderson. No interest in improving or achieving.

Agree. Whilst not Nani specifically Keano alluded to it in his book. He said after the '99 final he could see it in certain players that they thought they had done it. He was already looking to push on from that but for some of them that was all they wanted and they thought they were dons.

It's one of the things that excites me about Memphis, he not only wanted to leave Ajax having helped them win the league but being top scorer as well, even once he had achieved both of those and got his dream move to Utd he wanted to be involved in the final 2 games (against everyone's advice). That kind of hunger and desire is what we want.

Hopefully this is the start of a devastating left wing bromance for years to come

Not seen this mentioned yet guys so thought I'd post it from BBC Sport.

German newspaper Bild are reporting that Bayern Munich are ready to offer Manchester United 25-year-old Germany forward Thomas Muller, 31-year-old Netherlands winger Arjen Robben and cash in exchange for Argentina midfielder Angel Di Maria, 27.

Thoughts?

Lost a lot of weight over the summer Shaw, he'll come good this season.

Just saying.

I honestly have no clue how a professional athlete gets fat!

Out of shape and not match fit, fair enough with injuries etc...but fat, how? Especially someone who's late teens/early twenties.

I think fat is a bit stong. He's a thick set young lad and had been put on a specific programme over the summer. He's stuck to it and it's paid off. Similar to Rooney build wise. Neither are carrying a paunch but clearly put weight on easily.

Not got a clue who he is either in all honesty but everything I've read about him has been positive. And if it means Valencia won't play then it's a great signing, that's all I need to know. smile
