I am coming up from London for the game (of course, as all Utd fans live in London). Is parking at the cricket ground and then sprinting back after the match still the best way to avoid traffic chaos?

I am nervous as hell, as always before the derby. City have been so good in recent years.
Erm...except for last season.

But I know what you mean, 2 years ago aside from de gea you would struggle today any United player would get in their team, now it's a different story.

How early are you arriving? There's loads of options in and around the cricket ground. If you head back to the M56 through Chorltons back streets you'll miss the bulk of he traffic. I live in Didsbury so do the route every week, if you want reference points look up Nell Lane and St Werburghs Road and you'll be at the cricket ground avoiding the main routes.
Thank you very much. Planning to arrive before 11 (with any luck).
Your welcome. At that time just follow the M56 onto the A5103 until the afore mentioned Nell Lane and aim for the Great stone road entrances for the cricket ground car parks. I'm sure google maps will fill the gaps but they are tried and trusted recommendations!

Enjoy the match and have a safe trip.

Thanks again. Same to you! Fingers crossed for a great game and thumping win for Utd.

I was going to say that's a brilliant line but who gave it to Scholes? He doesn't strike me as one blessed with such wit.

Decent footballer; yes. Wordsmith; hell no. His witty comments come around as often as Rooney shining at two touch - unless its a bag lady being touched.

Interesting line up with Micky and Lingard out wide, Ronney starts again...

You heard it here first but Micky is having a hat-trick today, I transferred him out of my FF team so it's a sure thing.

You have tried to start as you did in the PL games up to now, its not poor form but a team at the next level.

Agree with this, City just on a-whole-nother level to Utd.
