I live in Didsbury so do the route every week, if you want reference points look up Nell Lane and St Werburghs Road and you'll be at the cricket ground avoiding the main routes.

Your welcome. At that time just follow the M56 onto the A5103 until the afore mentioned Nell Lane and aim for the Great stone road entrances for the cricket ground car parks. I'm sure google maps will fill the gaps but they are tried and trusted recommendations!
