I'm not missing any point old boy.

Kane is not worth £50M , i never said he is or was. I have said from the start that if any of the two big Manchester clubs are prepared to pay £50M then we should sell him.
Exactly, and you wont find a single Liverpool fan who actually thinks on merit Sterling is worth 50m he is 30-35m tops then throw into the fact he is English and then a right winger and City want him if you were selling you would (as Levy would) put that to 50m
So we agree , why are you arguing about it ?

He's been a lot grumpier since he became ITK, must be the pressure

Sye, I really don't care that much, I'd much rather focus on our new signings,I posted my opinion in here to try and avoid a typical Liverpool thread argument yet here you are anyway.

I'm out

So we have Memphis and Darmian.

Hoping Schneiderlin is next and then a CB...

He's a jumped up over rated little st who plays for the dippers and wants to go and fail to fulfil his potential at leaselands. There are two more suitable threads for the debate.

Agree

So back to a proper club

Assuming LvG sticks with inverted wingers (and uses AdM as a winger) then next season we will likely be looking at Shaw/Memphis on the left and Darmian/AdM on the right

So it looking like a 4-2-3-1 set up. Depay/young on one side and di Maria/mata on the other.

That's the width sorted with good injury cover.

Rooney up top with someone in behind or RVP up top and Rooney in the 10 role. Assuming no new faces

The midfield anchor provided by Carrick and Blind or a Schniedelin type.

That's a potent front four with good defensive cover, exactly how LVG likes it.

If we can get Otamendi or Ramos and Schneiderlin then I'd say it's been a pretty successful window and we've strengthened our squad in key areas. A midfield of DiMaria Herrera Schneiderlin and Depay with Mata and Rooney in front is serious quality. Best signing of the season though would be that of DDG.

DiMaria has said himself that he always struggles in his first season at a new club and I personally think this season he will show his quality.

Can't wait for the season to start.

If we get Ramos or Otamendi with Schneiderlin, is this the most sensible United transfer window in recent years? I'd like to see another striker if RvP leaves of course but I doubt we'd let him leave without having a striker lined up.

Rooney and Hamez Wilson leaves us a bit bare in that position, I'd feel safer with another one if LvG wants to play 1 up front with the extra games.

Thats why I am slightly disappointed we let Henriquez go. From what I saw of him in the few reserve games and when on loan he looked like a young Chico, would have been a nice squad player.

Sky are reporting RvP to Fenerbache as a done deal, we must have something lined up for that position then.

RvP all but confirmed officially gone then. Well, confirmed by Fenerbahce but not by us yet.

frown

He's given us some great memories (Aston Villa volley, the celebration vs Arsenal biggrin and of course the 20th title), so it's sad to see him go but it's inevitable I guess. I hope he does well.

I'm not sure about that. He was never much of a team player and couldn't be bothered last season. He's too old in the legs to be precious, but he was very much so last season. Sulking on the pitch is really destructive of team morale. I was crying out for Wilson to play instead of him.
