It seems the despicable act of a man can be seen a bit longer at ManU thanks to the final 30 mins. of the 1st half and 3 goals from set pieces.
Pogba stll looks like a shadow of someone costing 110M, Blind, Mata and Rashford played a very decent match though.
Gose now finally seems to have found something which looks like his first 11, although I wonder whether he keeps Rooney out of it and what he'll make of his 3rd buy Micky. Who according to the ever changing and bendable Mourinho narrative, just like his other 3 buys, was very necessary and key in Gose's magical, inventive road to the imaginary EPL title.
Do you type in Japanese, the google translate to Ethiopian the Google translate into English ?Pogba stll looks like a shadow of someone costing 110M, Blind, Mata and Rashford played a very decent match though.

It's that bad that there has to be some Scouse in there.

I think we should not carried away. Leicester were poor and flattered us. Don't forget how many games, previous to this, we lost. There were some good signs but 'one swallow doesn't make a summer' as the saying goes.
I agree with this. We were only good between the goal and half time. But we were way better than the Watford game. I'd like to see Shaw back at left back and Blind at the foot of a 3 man midfield.

CM: Pogba & Herrera
AM: Mata
WF: Rashford/Lingard/Micky
ST: The Zlatan
It lacks pace but has plenty of creativity. I would play this side for games where we will dominate possession. For harder games, I would play two wingers and Fellaini instead of Blind.

Thought he was 89M?HTH
I thought Sye was having a dig that Pogba was never worth 110M. Because I skip Delboner's posts I didn't realise Sye was in fact stating that the fee was wrong in Delboner's post.
Apologies Sye.

There's no place in this side for Fellani as a defensive midfielder anymore, experiment over. To ponderous and can't pick a pass like Blind, Herrera and Carrick. Herrera was everywhere yesterday but shielding the back four doesn't make for highlights. We do not need two defensive midfielders for most opposition.
We were arguing over Rooney at halftime yesterday and his appalling first touch. It was suggested that next week instead of walking up the ten flights of stairs to get to the concourse for a pre match beer we all sprint the stairs and see who is capable of speech. Let alone trapping a ball dead and spraying a 55 yard curling pass onto Valencia's chest. Rooney is own worst enemy in this respect. Hopefully he can learn from Zlatan about economy of movement it would enhance his chances of regaining his place.
Having seen Rooney warm up recently, I just don't think he's physically strong or fit enough anymore. He looks 5-10 years older than he is. His CV fitness must be good, but he is not remotely athletic or powerful anymore.
Is it surprising? He has been overweight his whole career and has never taken good care of his body. His 30 is more like 38 for someone who has played fewer games and been healthier.
We get caught up in chronological age, but it's only a starting point. He plays like a much older man.

If it is true that Rooney is being played due to marketing reasons as others have said, it's poor but it's probably the best compromise to convert him to the role of Super Sub who gets brought on once the game's in the bag. I wondered if we might have seen the start of that on Saturday. At least the blinkered commercial lot would see him on the pitch while some other player gets time to be built up to take his commercial mantle..
I think all that is bks. He will have zero marketing value very shortly, so why compromise the team for a few months keeping marketing people happy?
I think Mou has just felt obliged to give him a run before condemning him to the scrap heap.
I imagine he'll play on Thursday, simply so he can be dropped at the weekend with the pretext of resting him.

There's no truth in his marketing value forcing team appearances.I think Mou has just felt obliged to give him a run before condemning him to the scrap heap.

He did however register the fastest sprint of the game at 8.1kph when he got on the pitch.
But it is just one game in a season of 60 odd if we are successful. If he hasn't played again by the end of October the it's a story.
8.1 kph? What is that?
I would be amazed if he was faster than Valencia or Rashford or Bailly (the rest of our players are almost impressively slow, including Martial - who, for some reason, never seems to break into a sprint despite looking rapid in theory).
Lack of pace is one of our main weaknesses, don't you think?
The one thing getting little press or even comment on here is that Ashley Young keeps on sneaking his way onto the bench and even onto the pitch despite being worse than me at this football stuff. Martial and Micky must be dreadful or injured.
