Why? I meant it as I personally, as a fan, don't value the competition and it gets in the way of what I do value, ie the league. I think Maureen also sees it that way. That's not arrogant, it's prioritising what's important.

It's a game of semi-importance to me as I want us to do well to bring some of the confidence and dare I say swagger back to our play. I want the players to go out and enjoy themselves as I think they've been a bit flat and a strong performance regardless of the opposition will help with this. There are some shoots of recovery against Leicester and I want us to keep that going. A few (3-4) goals scored by us tonight would be great.

Yes it does, I'd never want to see my team lose whatever the game.

Good thing about this compo is seeing the youngsters & fringe players getting a chance on the big stage.

I guess though for some it's just the first team,

This comp and the league cup are equally unimportant to me. For me priority every year is League then CL and a slight interest in the FA Cup. League cup I don't care same for the Europa, should we qualify.

I hope we win tonight, but I hope we win with a side that has zero chance of playing on Sunday

Was it important when you were playing us at Old trafford last year, seemed it to me in the ground thats for sure.....

Or does your opinion change after the QF??

What if you didnt make top 4, or it was really close, would it then become important as a route into the champions league??

It's a PITA competition. Too many games which disrupt the preparation for the more important league games. Others may have a different view.
