is it a case of Man Utd are now a brand and a tourist attraction apposed to a football club?
When you are getting hit in the back of the head with selfie sticks from Korean, Japanese and Chinese tourists I think that answers the tourist attraction question.

It is a joke now, the year they won the treble the support was fantastic, constant noise.
Nowadays the noise is something which happens every so often. It really is sad to see.

Most grounds resemble a graveyard compared to atmospheres before standing was forbidden . grounds have become full of businessmen corporate entertaining . at least we can fill OT,unlike some clubs who can't even fill their own ground.

Indeed. Football under LvG was better as well; like today still lacking in pace but more organized, plus without the constant excuses, insinuations and pointing at others including players.

And compare ManU's match today with Tottenham's; organisation, effort, pace, tactics, coherence. It literally is night and day.

ManU should get rit of Woodward, he seems to be doing a great job in marketing, but not so much on the footballing side of things. And it's mainly midfield where ManU is losing the battle. Get rid of Rooney, Felliani and Mata.
God you are irritating on here - and I am a Liverpool fan rolleyes

Credit to WHU for at least trying to bring back some of the old traditions to the Stadiums. Probably best they hadn't started with the 70's / 80's era, but oh well rolleyes

Didn't see the game yesterday, but sounds like we missed a hatful and then gave away a bit of a gift? At least we are making chances then, I guess, so that's something to look on the bright side with. It was always going to be a long transition with bumps on the way, so I'd suggest it's a bit early yet for our proxy fans / wum's to be writing us off for the future just yet.

How did Martial do? I heard it was a good goal, but was his overall game better than of late?

God, there are some fking idiots on here. Yes Deltona and Selym, I mean you.

I think we played well yesterday and on another day would have won that by 3 or 4. Poor error from De Gea cost us.

I'm not sure what else Mourinho could have done from a managerial point of view. We battered them for the majority of that game.

Can someone enlighten me on where this random adoration for Joe Allen has come from? I don't get it. He still looks crap to me, he just has more hair on his head/face. Is this all because he had a couple of half decent games in Wales' Leicester-esque run to the Euro Semis and now the pundits have decided they like him?

smile

He scored a goal past United and he used to play (badly) for Liverpool....he's now a god.

I didn't see the whole game just the highlights but followed the written commentary on my phone. Certainly read like we were well on top creating 20+ chances, nearly half those on target. In the MOTD highlights we were certainly wasteful. Ibra should have scored in the first couple of minutes and what a different game that would have made. I thought we looked really sharp and creative. To say we played better than this under Van Gaal, I think somebody's been on the chronic. hippy

Got to be the first mistake DDG has made for 2 seasons surely?

Every time I have seen him he has been amazing.

He has made a few this year, not all have led to a goal though

Sorry I didn't mwant to imply you were being critical of him.

When I saw the goal on the highlights it was the first time in ages I can remember thinking 'DDG could have done better there'.

Which is not the case for the keepers we have had.

Good to hear re Martial, can only make us stronger if he gets back to form. Typical it's the international break now, but then at least it gives Zlatan a rest and more time for Mikhi to recover his fitness.

First time in the full team no? He has been playing well recently and although in the past been good one game dire the next he seems to be putting in solid 7's and 8's (aside his dirty challenge on the weekend)

Echoing others, Martial is needed to be back on form, the January - May Martial will boost our play no end

I think Herrera smells an opportunity to really stake a claim for a regular first 11 slot. I like that he's hungry and seems to want it badly. I'll excuse the odd poor challenge although the one at weekend was a genuine attempt to win the ball.
