5 wins over 3 isn't head and shoulders really. 20 times over 18 isn't either. You've got to think though that Liverpool have massively underachieved in the last 10 years winning only a league cup, especially considering they are in the top ten clubs worldwide in terms in terms of revenue.
We got 3 trophies for winning the treble.
I think 5 over 3 is head and shoulders though, seeing as neither team is anywhere near achieving in that competition for the foreseeable. We got 3 trophies for winning the treble.
BTW, I've started and am close to finishing a full career in the time since Manu won that treble, and shortly after they sullied one of the trophies they had won in that treble when choosing the World Club Championship over the most famous cup competition in the world.

Not really, Liverpool had lucky cup runs against mainly poor opposition.BTW, I've started and am close to finishing a full career in the time since Manu won that treble, and shortly after they sullied one of the trophies they had won in that treble when choosing the World Club Championship over the most famous cup competition in the world.
Didn't Manchester United win the FA cup again this year?

Not United's finest hour, but you sometimes make mistakes and move on. United were put in a difficult position of being asked to take part in two competitions at the same time. It was our own fault for being so god-damned brilliant! With hindsight SAF has admitted we should have entered the FA Cup with the reserves or whoever was left behind. Wonderful thing...
I still don't agree that 5 over 3 is head and shoulders.

Squads are so much bigger and stronger than they were all that time ago so it probably wouldn't have worked in any case.

I would be surprised if Liverpool win the league this decade. I would be surprised if Utd don't.
Liverpool are playing well but still have a lot of bang average players. I see them as this season's Arsenal - playing good football but without the quality or depth in the squad to challenge. I might be wrong. I am horribly horribly biased!
Will be good to see how our bang average players get on against all your 'world class' players when we meet.Liverpool are playing well but still have a lot of bang average players. To be fair, Liverpool presently look more like challenging for the title than Arsenal or Chelsea or even, I am afraid to say, Man U.
It could actually be Liverpool's year if City slip up.
I just cannot bring myself to imagine it happening, given how much I hate that club!
Fair comment.. We are all guilty of viewing our clubs through rose tinted from time to time. It could actually be Liverpool's year if City slip up.

What you fancy when we meet? Im in the top corner of the new stand so might see half a game
I genuinely don't have a clue, it could be really tight or a complete goal fest. I think in all honesty in form terms you guys are ahead at the moment but a derby is always a different kettle of fishWhat you fancy when we meet? Im in the top corner of the new stand so might see half a game
