I do think BR is being a scapegoat for a number of failings that are only partially do to with him, primarily transfers. After last summer I think we were all quite happy with transfers, bar some reservations regarding Ballotelli. Again with hindsight, a few on here seem to have always known all our signings were going to be failures!

I think there have been massive failings above BR with things at the club. Ayre with player contracts, not having a Suarez replacement signed before letting him go, the TC clearly being on a different page to BR and the TC signing some distinctly average players. Just getting rid of BR won't solve these problems.

Having said that, I do think BR will have to fall on his own sword. Namely saying that if you spend £100m you should compete for the title, and then more recently saying that fifth would be par, meaning we've ultimately failed to achieve even that this season!

I actually do want BR to go now. Not necessarily that I think he's that terrible but because I really don't enjoy the disharmony his current reign brings. Too divisive.

Time to cull the sacrificial lamb and move on for the sake of an ability to look forward.

The only other thing I'll add about yesterday is that the players should be thoroughly ashamed. Regardless of tactics, "payback" for the manager or any other motivations, no Liverpool side should ever let six goals by.

We're utterly useless. But, we finished a place above you.

It was Suarez, wasn't it?

This, this and this. I'm 51. Never ever seen anything so bad in my lifetime. The closest was losing 5-1 to Villa in 1977 (when we were a top team).

Yeah, fancy that eh? Team loses world class footballer & is worse the season after.... Where have we seen that before? It's a ridiculous statement....

Whilst well reasoned plenty of mistakes have been made by players playing their normal position.
Agreed doesn't explain Balo being a complete donkey all year.

The key will come down to two issues, does BR still have the dressing room (maybe not) and do FSG blame him or their structure?
Two things to this. Of course players have made mistakes but just because they are in their normal position they have teammates who aren't. This normally means that where you'd normally feel comfortable passing to someone they aren't quite where they should be so the pass isn't there, you dally on the ball, get caught out etc.

The Balo point. Everyone who has watched him play knows he isn't a Suarez type run around harassing people. He also has shown zero capability to play as a lone striker in his entire career in that mould.

If the manager is going to pick him surely you need to adapt the style of the team to get the best from him?

Why Lambert didn't get a run I don't understand either. He played as a lone striker where you press high and hurry the opposition for Southampton. Scored 13 league goals as well. Not sure why lots of you saw him as a bring him on with 20 to go and lump it forward player. He was much more than that at Southampton.

Not at all

You replaced him with a flake. Your manager is to blame. Brendan believed his own hype and thought that he could 'tame' Balo as he 'tamed' Suarez. But, dear old Bren forgot that Suarez only plays for himself and wanted to get into his country's World Cup squad. Brendan had nothing to do with Suuarez's form two seasons ago.

The sooner you sack Rodgers, the better.

If Arsenal beat Villa, Liverpool will start their Europa League campaign on September 17th. If Villa win, we start on 30th July.

As a Liverpool fan I'm tempted to agree, the lazy bds don't deserve a summer break;

Jürgen Klopp won't take a new job this summer, according to Bild. Reportedly wants to take at least 6 months off.

Yes we are, and I can take the piss taking from Utd or Arse fans, even Spurs fans, but laughable from an Evertonian who finished in the bottom half of the table, your worse result for 8 years
