Rodgers probably staying, Kolo has signed a new contract.... Next season is over already
Don't forget the superstar Origi joining our squad too! Finished in L'Equipe "Worst Ligue 1 players" this season. Another donkey of a gem uncovered. I dont care if he is 20 - he is not good enough to be anywhere near the Liverpool team. Went on a 20 game barren spell this season too in a 2nd tier European League and will probably go to be another El Hadji Diouf. I'd be loaning him out to a Championship team next season and see how he cuts it there. type-r said:

At 20 years old and £10m he was well worth the punt and I certainly had/have more hope for him than Markovic!
To be honest, I'd much rather see him as one of our first choice forwards than Sterling next season!

I hardly think the poor sod can be judged on this. We haven't seen him. Let's wait and see.RedTrident said:
We shouldn't be anywhere near Ings if we've already got Origi. We'll buy him because he's cheap.
As for who is good enough and would come to us, last season we could have had Remy or Bony. This summer I'd rather Benteke ahead of Ings and Berahino ahead of Origi, who lets face it, is going to be nothing more than a 10 million pound bench warmer. Both would come to us and would be better than what we have.
Benteke, Berahino, Sturridge, Mario
Origi will be better than Sturbridge after 10 games. As for who is good enough and would come to us, last season we could have had Remy or Bony. 2. What position has Origi been playing this season?
3. How have Lille been playing?
4. How old is he and how far along in his development?
5. What type of player is he, what are his strengths and weaknesses?
Once you've considered these questions and know the answers you can deem Origi as not good enough for Liverpool. Oh, and seeing him play for us for a bit would help your decision making process too.
Yours in exasperation,

2. By all accounts a striker but then this is irrelevant as Mr Rodgers will also try him out as wing back
3. Who cares? We've had a crap season but it won't stop other teams happily taking Sterling or Coutinho off our hands if they could
4. So at best another 4th choice striker that it would make more sense to loan out because given the choice Mr Rodgers would rather play without a striker than the 3 he has available to him
5. His weaknesses outweigh his strengths at the moment and his strengths aren't enough to make any real difference to us
He won't play for us a bit next season Phil. It would be folly to think that he can help us improve any time soon if at all. Another one 'for the future'. We need players for the now.

2. He's played a fair bit on the wing
3. I care because the form of the team can affect the form of the player and the style of the team can affect the form of the player.
4. Yes, he's 3rd/4th choice for now but that doesn't mean he's not good enough to be near the Liverpool team. We will need depth for the 4 competitions we're playing in next season.
5. So you don't know what his stregths and weaknesses are.
Yes we need players for the here and now, but we need to invest in the futire too.

1. Does he actually improve the squad we currently have?
2. Were we in a position last season to spend money on a player that was not going to strengthen the curreny playing squad?
3. Would the £10m been better spent towards as a contribution on a striker that Rodgers would have actually played for more than 50% of the season had they actually been fit?
Skysports reporting that Spurs have put in a £12m(!) bid for Danny Ings. Pretty much extinguishes the hope that many thought he would be available for a nominal player development fee.

Do you think Levy is paying 12 mil for a player that is free (plus club compensation) on Monday? I'd be amazed. London424 said:
