Just to be clear, I'm super happy that we're signing Milner, he is a fantastic professional and a quality player.
Agreed - he reminds me a lot of Kuyt, and we have missed him since he went - One thing about Milner is he shows up in Big games just like Dirk did. Black can man said:

That article is from a City fan who watches him a lot more than us or BCM does.

The mother reference is disgraceful. BCMs comment on Milner is fair. Milner showing up in the big games, he hardly featured in the big games. Its why he wants to move, so he plays more!

I bet we get nowhere near the £14m Sunderland were willing to pay a year ago! RedTrident said:

Although i agree he's a decent squad player i just feel Henderson should be this player for Liverpool, If to be believed that Milner is getting a 4 year contract on 100k a week + & guaranteed starter ( i'm sure sye's inside mole will confirm or deny this ) for a player close to 30 is just madness of a deal, great for the player mind.
If Spurs were in for Milner i'd be a bit meh & not very excited about his signature tbh. Squad filler ? haven;t you got enough of them.
Really is no need for the Mother comment but i guess thats just the way some folk are.

Best to speak to City fans on their opinion of Milner yet to get a bad one and all in agreement he is a very good signing for us.Although i agree he's a decent squad player i just feel Henderson should be this player for Liverpool, If to be believed that Milner is getting a 4 year contract on 100k a week + & guaranteed starter ( i'm sure sye's inside mole will confirm or deny this ) for a player close to 30 is just madness of a deal, great for the player mind.

I thin Milner is a solid squad addition, I've yet to see anyone set out a formation where he is genuinely first choice.

Milner can either anchor the midfield or play on the left side of a 3, with Henderson and Lucas. The mother reference is disgraceful. BCMs comment on Milner is fair. Milner showing up in the big games, he hardly featured in the big games. Its why he wants to move, so he plays more!
You should be popping champagne corks RT, Milner arrival means Joe allen will get less 1st team action in my book!

As per my previous comments on the subject I don't understand the queries about where he will play etc. He will be first choice in our midfield whether we play 2 or 3. He's a better player than our other midfielders bar Henderson who he is on a par with. Therefore, we have improved the first XI if he does sign for us. If we could now do the same at full back/wing back, centre back and striker then I'll be very happy. BARCA HOME

It's difficult for ordinary folk to know or understand the motivations of a pro footballer. Milner, for example is already very wealthy, won titles (our dressing room could actually do with some people who know what winning the premier league is like) and is an established international. He may just want a new challenge? He may want to play every game in his preferred position? In his private life he may want to stay living where he does so that really only leaves Liverpool and Man Utd as commutable alternatives to City whilst remaining at a top club, which we still are despite what other clubs fans say on this thread. City may not have bought him a Birthday cake?!
The point is I have no idea, but City want him to stay, have offered him a lot of money to do so, but if he chooses to leave them and come to us then I am delighted. It clearly isn't because he wasn't playing as the above list shows and now I've bothered to look it up he has played 89 games in the last two seasons.

Spot on - it is a good signing for us when you look at City wanting to keep him, Arsenal after him and UTD interested too It's difficult for ordinary folk to know or understand the motivations of a pro footballer. We won due to the promise of us starting him in CM, there is no other way we would have ever won this race.
