Fair play to FSG that's over £260M they have given Mr Rodgers to invest .
On paper yes but you are totally ignoring what we have had in - its not as generous as them saying 'here Mr Rodgers go and spend £260m of our money' Black can man said:
More to the point i'm making is that they must see Mr Rodgers as the man to take Liverpool forward allowing him to spend all this money.
I think this is the whole point of the transfer committee. Its not just about players BR wants, its players that fit what FSG want for the future of the club. should BR not work out, they aren't left with one managers choices but players who they feel suit what they are trying to achieve

On face value you'd have to agree, but that argument rather falls flat on it's face when you use Tottenham as the example.I think that's the whole point behind our Transfer Committee" - we buy the players we think can move the club forward, regardless of manager. Same with the backroom staff - I think this summer has shown that FSG have completely bought into BR's philosophy, but maybe not the man himself. I think we're moving towards a setup much like Southampton, Sevilla or Atl. Madrid, whereby the club should be able to cope with the manager leaving without completely changing our playing style, players and backroom staff. We'd then just replace the manager with another who shares a similar philosophy and keep going.

But isn't that so ridiculously fecking obvious that there really isn't any reason for saying it He just went to the end of season meeting and he didn't get fired, he's still here and we've entered the pre-season transfer window - so yes as the current manger of a premier league club it would appear he is doing the job he is employed to do.
I look forward to your other posts staying 'water is wet', 'Blatter is disliked' and 'Liverpool FC are one of the most successful football teams in the world'

We have seen examples before of managers keeping their jobs but not being heavily backed in the market indicating that they are perhaps walking a bit of a tightrope and the board are keeping some funds back for the inevitable new manager splurge in Jan window
Christ, it was a perfectly fine comment from BCM, you lot would try and start an argument in an empty room I swear

Please do let us know which managers got backed at the end of one season but weren't allowed to spend money pre-season and then had a new manager enter who then spent more in the January window than was spent pre-season by the old manager.I'm not speaking anecdotally, I'm saying it it is quite evident he is in place, backed and doing a normal role so am still unsure why BR spending money is a surprising activity that requires a comment unless he's trolling...

Harry Redknapp at Spurs (sort of). Spent the year on trial, then whoring himself for the England job. Spurs were doing pretty well in the league but needed some additional players in Jan to push on. He got Ryan Nelson and Saha on Free's.
Sacked in the Summer where AVB was then given a nice chunk of change to spend on Lloris, Ade, Dempsey, Sigi, etc.
So not the summer restriction to Jan splurge, but the same logic.
It's great to have a bunch of spurs fans on the Liverpool forum making comments that resident Liverpool fans are stirring for an argument
I'm actually not arguing I am just unsure the point, unless trolling, of the need to draw attention once again to the question of FSG's support of BR.
Perhaps I'd just like to enjoy the transfers and look forward to a new season, but hey that's not really entertainment is it.
