It does make the Markovic loan even more confusing, surely someone with pace like that may have helped today?

Hopefully this was just a blip and a bad day at the office.. Bottom line is Roger's must know that every 'bad day at the office' is probably taking him one step closer to the dole office.. He simply cannot afford another performance like that any time soon if he is to make Xmas let alone next May.. And Lovren needs to be dropped immediately ( preferably from a very tall building). I would rather take a chance on our very own version of 'Bambi on ice' AKA Sakho.

I'm actually really disappointed that he has gone on loan. Just another player broken by Liverpool.

That's a bit hysterical sorry - players leave on loan when they aren't going to get game time, and need it. What do you want us to do - change the team plan to suit a player's strengths every time he's not developing? Markovic hasn't been broken by anyone. Stories are that he hasn't settled too well yet - which would have an impact on his performances anyway. putting aside all other considerations.

Lovren was awful, cannot play next game.

Team played through the middle and got nowhere and then we bolster the defence.

I actually thought we had our best team out today but we were truly awful. I actually thought we did okay against arsenal too.

Hysterical, really, look up the word.

We have played a very good competent player out of position so they in turn lose confidence in their abilities.
Then the typical story about not being settled arises, every fking time.

Fine. In that case the board at LFC are a bunch of clueless tts for employing someone who has no idea how to run a football team. Sack BR, sack the people who chose him. Get someone new in who knows what they're doing and can employ a manager who doesn't ruin lots of players. Sorted. Better?

We've ruined players for years. My rugby playing friend who barely knows anything about football used to joke about this years ago. Harry Kewell, Robbie Keane, the list goes on. Big players elsewhere, sh*te at Anfield.

You don't think some players just can't cut it at that level then? Not sure I'd put Kewell in Keane's category of overpriced failure. Keane is up there with Andy Carroll on that one. The idea that a club makes the player bad is just nonsensical.

Clearly he's crap as they lost. Simple. Good managers never lose and good teams never play badly. smile

For us its not a one off though unfortunately. There's a pattern here, particularly in you look back over last season. Today was no different than the worst of last season. Our last 10 games. We've scored 7 goals and conceded 15 only once scoring more than 1 goal.

Liverpool 0-3 West Ham
Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool
Liverpool 1-0 Bournemouth
Stoke 0-1 Liverpool
Stoke 6-1 Liverpool
Liverpool 1-3 Crystal Palace
Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool
Liverpool 2-1 QPR
Hull 1-0 Liverpool
West Brom 0-0 Liverpool

Quite so - I've been cautiously optimistic after being unbeaten for the first 3 games. But there was no evidence from the first 3 games to start getting carried away. Still optimistic - but if we don't show any improvement at all over the next few games or so, that might go.

Today just smacks of poor tactics. There's no way a squad with the quality of ours should be losing so comprehensively at home to West Ham. The odd one goal loss where we couldn't break teams down & are hit on the counter is forgivable, today is not.

Playing so narrow against a team that Arsenal couldn't break down in that way was criminal
