I must say I'm completely baffled as to why people are upset and moaning about not buying Berahino given his Twitter outburst the other day.

I thought with Sterling leaving the way he did and all the name calling that followed with comments like 'he's overated', 'not worth 50m', 'spoilt brat' etc. you wouldn't want to sign someone who has acted even worse and states he will never play for a team again because they rejected his transfer request! He even shared the same agent as Sterling for goodness sake! It seems to me some of you think it's okay for a player to act like a complete moron when they play for a 'lesser' team and we're linked with them, but when it comes to Liverpool this behavior is deemed unacceptable.

I'm of the opinion of Berahino has shown a complete lack of respect for a club who he has been with since 2004(!), progressed through their youth program and was then given a chance at the top level after some loan spells. Their trust and belief obviously paid off, for him then to turn round to them and say he will never play for them again because they rejected his transfer request. Now are you telling me this is the sort of player we want at LFC? It's like he would just try and use us as a stepping stone until a club came in with an offer of more money and he'd be gone.

Also on another matter entirely, I keep seeing comments about Benteke being a poor signing and as useful as Balotelli. Now forgive me if I'm wrong but haven't we only played 4 games so far this season. For crying out load give the guy a chance ffs! I'm not saying the signing will 100% work out, but this is a player who averaged 1 goal every 2 games at a frankly poor Aston Villa, obviously he's got something about him so lets not start laying into him after 4 games.

I must admit I'm a Liverpool fan who doesn't really post much on here, but does skim read it and some of you really need to look at what you write, as your opinions literally contradict what you have wrote a few weeks back. Also I actually think some of you want us to do badly so you can have a moan and say 'told you that would happen' etc.

This (what has turned into a) mini rant isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but it always so negative in here. It's like we play well and nothing gets said, 1 bad result and there's pages and pages of sack Rodgers, Lovren's not good enough, we need a proper DM and taking everything out of context.

For goodness sake get behind the team and actually show support.
Aye, well said. Totally agree on Berahino; his attitude is poor. Danny Murphy has said he said something similar - but in private to his chairman; not in public. And got his move. No idea which club - they made him sign a paper to not reveal that.

And spot on, on here. Its not so much that its quiet when we win, I guess its more there's less debate and arguing!

1. Well said, I agree with you.

Kane did loans at Leyton Orient, Milwall, Norwich and Leicester before he finally made it at Spurs. I think sending players out to get experience is the right thing to do, but at some point they need to be thrown in at the deep end at the home club to see if they can swim.
Yep, exactly.
I read recently that Chelsea have 33 players out on loan !!!

Quiet on here when you win! rofl There's pages of back slapping and detailed player assessment of how much better the current ones are the ones that got sold (including YouTube highlight vids)!

I can't believe what I'm reading here.

rofl

The highlight videos of individual players is my personal favourite. There's always loads of stats and articles after a win on here, it's a bit cringey.

Agreed, but the detailed player assessments come a couple of days later. wink

When we lose people are straight on PH, start throwing toys out the pram, say players should not play for the club again etc.

I just think it would be better to have a bit of perspective, rather than the same people saying the same opinions over and over. smile

Comparatively quiet? Ie, not at each other's throats arguing?

So according to you and CIE, the thread is busy when we lose and busy when we win? Well...DUH! laugh

This amazes me: Forbes football rich list. Not only for our position now, just £70m behind Arsenal and ~£110m behind Chelsea, but also our rise up the table since 2011/2012. In fact our position changes since the earliest table on that page are quite interesting! In fact, if you go back just 7 years, no one had higher revenues than we do today and the highest revenue (Utd - £394m) was just 52% of the highest today (RM - £796m).

Why, so you can score internet karma points for appearing to be a really nice bloke?

As a spurs fan you must spend more time congratulating other teams on their forums than your own.

If anyone is struggling for tickets anytime let me know. I'm in a small Liverpool group on facebook and one of the lads has had spares for the past few games.

Next season I see it as
New stand + Brendan + Lovren = lots of spare tickets
Since Suarez fever it's been a gradual decline in interest from friends and acquaintances wanting to go.
We need a strong season to help us fill Anfield 2016

'Arry Redknapp laying into your mob. Calling the team "Bang average. The worst Liverpool team in years" & "They are lucky to even have a single point".

He must have a new book coming out. hehe
