I did read the post, and as ever there is no need whatsoever to personally insult another poster.

I would think I've been swindled if the bank took my business off me when I'd been making all the payments. I never understood the close to bankruptcy stuff either.

On a parallel issue, if H&G promised not to load the team with debth as part of the agreement when they bought the club, did FSG not also say they'd build a new stadium when they bought the club? It seems what you say before and what you do after you've bought the club was a PR exercise in both cases.
And to be fair to FSG they been in the process of building the stadium since they took over - plans, purchasing houses/land and clearly right now the construction is occurring.

I'm not sure why you feel to draw a negative from the current owners given its quite clear they are fulfilling their promise.

They didn't make a promise. Google "NESV stadium promise" and this is the first article that comes up, written the day FSG bought us. From it there is this paragraph:
The Guardian said:
Henry, greeted by the cheers of waiting fans, declared himself "proud and humbled" to be the club's new owner. "We have a lot of work to do and I can't tell you how happy I am that we've finally got to this point," he said. He was unwilling to commit himself on plans for investment in new players or in a new, larger stadium. "It's too early to say what we're going to do," he said, "but obviously we're here to win and we'll do whatever is necessary."

So they didn't promise but are building it? How very dare them

For those complaining about the quality of Allen; he may soon be part of the second best international team in the world. Not sure how you can question his quality then, wink

I've clearly got that mixed up, I thought a new stadium was one of the conditions Purslow had when finding a buyer. Though to give FSG credit they came out right at the beginning and said they wouldn't over promise.

FSG have kind of hit the jackpot with all the new TV money to be had.

When you think about it they really have got the club for buttons really, Fair play to them though they haven't denied Mr Rodgers & the committee money to waste in the transfer market, oops i meant to say invest.

Jonjo has played like Alonso tonight for England - we really miss this type of player in the team, someone who can pick out a pass and create chances from a deep lying position. A real shame we got rid.

Was watching him against Utd the other day and and he was superb, one of few players that we should have kept and who has got better since he left.

Shelvey was a player with a poor attitude. He's only (in the last year or so) grown up, by his own admission.

He would also play really well, and then do a stupid tackle and get a red card. Was just a bit unpredictable.

He also wouldn't be the player he is today if he'd stayed as he wouldn't have got anywhere near as much paying time at LFC.

Swapped for Allen more or less, clearly with us paying nearly twice as more. He'd never have come on here I think, he needed game time to mature and got this at Swansea.

This made me giggle... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverp...

The giant striker asked for help in adapting to the different style of football after his summer transfer from Aston Villa.

He's just highlighting the next talent to leave Liverpool for a sizeable fee?

He was still young, perhaps could have been loaned out to develop. Henderson was allowed time to develop - looked awful when he first started and Shelvey was equally inconsistent. Still think we need someone that dare I say it, plays that quarterback role well.
