I go into every game now - and watch it, if I can - expecting us to get a crap result. And when it happens I just shrug. I thought with the new backroom team something might change but its not. We still have a club for whom 98% of the players can't find the net. After 3 years. We are back to where we started before BR arrived. If not worse off.
Another typical Rodgers selection and performance. Ibe on the left as a wing back? Clyne as a wing back? Can centre of 3 central defenders? All fish out of water. 3 at the back is easy exploited by a decent side, have this been forgotten already? Everton are a decent side.
I would be lying if I said I was surprised, sadly I am not even disappointed. We have seen this on a regular basis for a long time, it has become the norm in terms of what we can expect. Until Rodgers is fired we will continue this bumpy road to mediocrity.

I haven't bothered watching since the Utd game & don't really want to watch until he goes now, but i'm not sure I can miss the derby however bad it gets.
I just can't stomach the style of play & total lack of cohesion in the team from the endless combinations being tried. It smacks of desperation unfortunately.

I agree with the point about can't be bothered to watch Liverpool right now. A couple of seasons ago, I just couldn't wait to watch us play. A week just seemed too long. Hadn't felt like that since probably the Rafa years. Now, just can't be arsed as you can almost predict what to expect. Too much inexperience in the team, poor tactics and positional play and in my view stubbornness (arrogance?) by the manager to continue to play formations that don't work and playing players out of position. Sad state of affairs and find myself almost willing Everton to win come Sunday, just to heap more pressure to have BR removed.

A solid home draw against the team from.......er, where are FC Sion from?
7th in the Swiss League. From the BBC:

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says he is not worried about his position following his side's stuttering start to the season.
"I'll always work the best I can. But I'm not seeking any reassurances," said Rodgers when talking about his job.
"It's not something I'm worried about," he added.
"We are back into that flow of creating chances," said Rodgers. "We go to Everton with confidence".

In my st opinion, a player should only be played out of position when you are down to your bare bones and have no players left.
We do, we have players for every position so there is no excuse for this bullst.
Have to agree to a great extent, ok maybe wing back shouldn't be too much of a change for a LB/RB who likes to attack, but for all other positions we are well covered save for wide players. We do, we have players for every position so there is no excuse for this bullst.
I really think a bog basic 41212 woukd serve us best at the moment, effectively a 442 but with a sitting & attacking bias for two midfielders, ie Lucas/Cann holding & Couinho/Firminiho/Lallana behind the strikers.

The problem is, 41212 gives us no width. The "smaller" clubs have been packing the middle defensive area of the field and hitting the bigger clubs on the break since last season. So far not many of the bigger clubs have found ways around this.SydneyBridge said:
I think even Roy would do a better job than BR with the squad that we have now.
He had a very poor squad when he was our manager- to say the least...
Are you nuts? Roy just didn't fit with the club, in the same way that Moyes didn't suit the Utd job. On top of that he took what little money we gave him and made some awful signings. He had a very poor squad when he was our manager- to say the least...
Regardless of what you think of the transfers under BR's tenure, you have to admit we have one of the strongest squads we've had in a while, just no the strongest starting XI.

I was mostly joking...Regardless of what you think of the transfers under BR's tenure, you have to admit we have one of the strongest squads we've had in a while, just no the strongest starting XI.
But yes, I agree we have the strongest squad in years. That makes it more frustrating though, the way we are playing, the way we are being managed and his tactics/formations/motivation are a joke.
Roy is doing well as England Manager but lets see how England get on a proper tournament.
