Nice start to the day that, ta. smile God, we were so good even Sterling scored...
I wish we could have that number 7 back. frown
Watching that just confirms how one world class player can drag a poor team up. Rodgers will surely rue the day Jon Flanagan got injured.

hehe

Seriously though, yeah - if we could have a Suarez without the bitey bits, that would be ideal.

I've not really followed his behaviour since he left, but he hasn't hit the headlines AFAIK, so sounds like he has stopped biting?

I wonder if a stronger manager could have controlled him at Liverpool

You'll find fault with the new chap soon enough, RT. hehe
I'm definitely looking forward to all the advice you can offer on which formation they should be playing, who should be playing, how much he should spend and where he's doing it wrong laugh
Not that it's saying much at all but my 'advice' couldn't have done any worse really could it.

I think we'd have kept Sterling if we'd got rid earlier. Of course when I look at Sterling, I naturally saw the wing back in a 370 formation. smile

Morning Sir .

Who do you want ? seems the smart money seems to be on the German chap.
I'd have either Klopp or Ancelotti. I think if we're building for the future then Klopp is the man.

Either would attract players and command respect in the dressing room.

I think we'll see Milner moved out of centre midfield with Can and Lucks there and us moving to a 4231. Be interesting to see if the striker is Benteke or Sturridge.

With the team we might have for the first game I reckon

Mignolet
Clyne Skrtel Sakho Moreno
Can Lucas
Milner Coutinho Lallana
Sturridge

First game is at your place I think BCM.

Yes it is , Theres bound to be " New Manager" enthusiasm which is not great for us, i guess the only positive we can take is that whoever comes in they will not have a lot of time with his new players given the dull international break.

Were certainly not the soft touch we have been in the past, should be a cracker.

Well if we had your advice we would have kept Balotelli and played him so feasibly yes it could have been worse.

You would have sold Lucas so yes it may have been worse.

Got rid of Mignolet so yes we could have leaked more goals.

Not played Gomez or Clyne.

Not played Ings.

We don't need to go on as well just go round in circles.

I'd have kept Mario, don't think he's any worse than Benteke.

I'm a Lucas fan, well documented on here.

Ings, you'll see I've questioned why we weren't playing 2 up front.

Clyne, I've not had no opinion on other than he isn't a wing back.

As for Gomez, he's not a left back. Thankfully Mr Rodgers is gone and won't be able to ruin this young man's career.

You're just making things up. I don't care, I'm celebrating that we've got rid of Mr Rodgers and his Brent impersonations. Hated the man and everything he stood for. A complete and utter fraud who I hear is not only 7 million pounds richer but already getting his agent to try and get him on next year's Strictly.

We certainly wouldn't have played Suarez as a striker. What a stupid idea that was! hehe

Still not bothered we got rid. He's doing for Citeh what he did for us - missing chances and running around a lot.

I specifically watched him a couple of weeks ago. To be fair he started quite a few attacks. Unfortunately he finished just as many with either poor passes or poor crosses. He was getting in good positions, but he's not improved now for over a year. Not many younger players do improve at City either.

Same old same old, then. Be interesting to see where he ends up in a few years. He may well be 1 of many ex "young players with promise" who earn a big pay day but never fulfilled their potential.

He'll score double figures this season and have a similar number of assists imo.

What was worrying is that we never really replaced him. We've got Sturridge coming back yes but a pacy direct wide attacker, Firmino isn't that player.

Be interesting to see if the new manager brings Lazer back.

Don't think we have the option to bring Lazer back. He's gone for the year.

What do you base that goal tally on? 18 goals in 95 appearances across 3 years with us, apparently. I suppose 10 goals is possible, based on that... but surely he should be a lot better.

You might argue that City will score more goals as a team, so Sterling should get more. But then they scored 6 at the weekend and he didn't get any of them......

You don't thnk mario is any worse than Benteke? Are you sure you watch football....

Some of what you say is good, but comments like that are just silly. You were speaking of BR as a fraud, I put it to you that Balotelli is too.
