I think we need him a lot more than he needs us....
He can therefore name his price and conditions

No we do actually have the makings of a great squad.
We have some really good players, Sakho (French international) Clyne, Henderson, Couthinho, Sturridge.

Add into that he will know of Can and Firmino and I think he will come.

I watched that drubbing against spurs from the link a few back and Suarez was brilliant, but also Henderson, I really do think we miss the lad when he is not playing... He could do the Gundogan role from dortmund.

I think we have a decent enough set of raw materials for him to work with. Trouble with Hendo is we didn't see THAT Hendo pretty much at all last season. Maybe Suarez really did lift everyone and give them that confidence. We need to get that back somehow. Maybe Klopp could do that.

How many minutes has Sturridge played since his last injury layoff now?

Just wondering how many more he has left until his next 4 month recovery period...

Of course. Behind the scenes he'll be saying I can do very little with this squad, we need to bring back Mario and I need 100 million plus sales at Xmas else I'm going back to church.

Have to say I believe that we have a pretty good squad for the new manager to work with. The more I hear on Klopp the more I think he will improve existing players although Mario would be a stretch.

i suspect that all the players will be given a chance and we will probably see some surprises

Looking forward to seeing Klopp in place, not least due to FSG looking tjo hire him twice before.

It all comes down to the fact that it's easy to play with great players.... As I was saying last season, we had near enough an identical team behind the strikers, but without the clever runs, the harrying, the creating space, the skill to hold up the ball & bring other players into the game when we lost Sturridge & Suarez, the midfield went from having great passing options & spaces to run into, to a lone isolated striker with no passing options... More defenders & midfielders were free to press us, hence why we lost the ball so much, which in turn put huge pressure on to our defence.

A great team is built from the front, not the back IMHO if you want to play football like BR did. Mourinho packs the defence & midfield & relies on his striker taking nearly every chance he gets, hence why his teams are built from the back.

I think we will actually see a very interesting style if Klopp comes in, the 4231 he employed BvB was very similar to our 13/14 season shape, except he preferred an extra midfielder over a second striker, but the extra man played in a very advanced role when countering.

I think we have 90% of the squad we need to be capable of top 4, Klopp should be able to drag a tune out of them!

Top 4 is a big ask when you consider the squads and budgets of City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Klopp will find it'sa bit different to 'only' having to knock Bayern off.

The thing is pretty much every club has a 'committee' as such - its just ours that are named as such - the committee is made up of job roles every club has and each one of them will carry out the same work - as this podcast points out though without everytime working in the same direction things can get messy
Klopp has never had full control over signings even when at Dortmund so it will be interesting to see how tings pan out with him at LFC

LIVERPOOL fans are demanding the dismissal of the man who has yet to be confirmed as the club’s new manager.

Possible replacement manager Jurgen Klopp has failed to make Liverpool the most feared club in football despite being widely tipped to start working there soon.

Season ticket holder Norman Steele said: “I’m a patient man but Klopp should have restored us to the pinnacle of European football by now.

“You have to question his commitment, especially as he has not yet signed any paperwork.”

Stephen Malley said: “How much longer are we going to give Klopp? He’s done literally nothing so far.

“I’m going to set up a Klopp Out Facebook group.”

Did I mention I'm fully supportive of Klopp?

Still no sign of a jacket on eBay. Though when I went in the dentist this morning, teeth whitening was on offer.

Absolutely - no problem with the idea but the way its "worked" over the last 3 years, clearly they should have sorted it out long ago. Utter shambles and explains well how we're in the position we are now.

I'm not sure how exactly it could have been changed to have been more successful with BR and the TC. Obviously the players need to fit in with the managers vision/philosophy, or whatever you want to call it. But that would have left us with a team built around Lallana, Benteke, Ashley Williams, Joe Allen and Clint Dempsey.... Obviously the TC hasn't had massive success either, but they have bought Coutinho (I think), Sturridge, Sakho, Clyne, Firmino.

It sounds like Klopp has agree to work within the existing structure with the TC, so lets just hope they're a more natural fit together.
