We tried that & he was ste . Hoddle as much as he loved by the fans played & managed Chelsea ! fk him .
Jamie Carragher is unique, i really couldn't see him working or being involved with any team other than Liverpool, Surely all Pool fans would want to see him involved some way or another.

Nice try I suppose, should Hoddle be managing Spurs?

Surely you'd all want to see Carragher in a track suit at Melwood than in a shirt & tie on Sky Sports .

not a big fan of picking managers/coaches because they used to play for the club.
mind you he couldn't do worse than the current defensive coaches, and if he polished his boots he would still probably be worth the odd game.
Carra is the KIND of person I'd want at the club - someone who eats, sleeps and drinks footy - its well known he watches every footy match on tv he can get his satellite dish on. That passion for the game, I would want at the club.
He seems quite happy in a Sky studio though. Its a very different proposition working at a club. And this way his "legend" status stays intact. But yeah I would think he'd make a good defensive coach if he wanted to.
"fk him" indeed! Bit disrespectful to Hoddle that, BCM. That would be like someone here saying that about Kenny.

Wow it must be really be bothering BCM that we have got Klopp
Noticed Red cafe are in a bit of a twist too, something like 1500 posts about him coming to us...
Players he was part of bringing in at Dortmund

Somewhat off on a tangent, but are there any examples of 'Legend' status players going on to become managers and being successful at the club where they built their status?
Kenny, first time around. Won the double in his first season and argualy had our best ever team in the mid-late 80s.London424 said:

At Liverpool there is Dalglish.(Also Bob Paisley (AND Matt Busby) - but I don't think either count as legend players.)

In answer to your question I would love a guy like Carragher at the club as he has the playing connection and SEEMS to be a good leader and SEEMS to have a good reading of the game. But pointing and moving discs around a computer screen on Sky and actually translating that on to a training pitch with real people is something different

You get the feeling the Klopp is like the new Rafa but with a bit more passion - both have won domestic titles and been to final of the champions league. Both also have a decent transfer record given the 'limited' funds available. We definitely have a core of a good squad to work with; hopefully with a few tweaks and the Klopp-enthusiasm effect, he is able to bring the best out of everyone. The problem is, every other article I've read has stated that Klopp doesn't have much of a hand in transfers and therefore is fine with working with our TC. Then every other article states his amazing transfer history at Dortmund...! Can't have it both ways. Added to that, the DoF he had at Dortmund is staying there, so I wouldn't expect the next Reus to rock up at Anfield for £12m.jammy_basturd said:

Agreed - my point was more what he did with players who were not at the top of there game when he signed them - he has turned players with potential into top draw playersThat a long with taking a mid table team to one feared around europe and their own league, matched with his charismatic ways should lead to some exciting times again at Anfield - I for one are looking forward to some buzz coming back to Anfield when I go as it has got very boring lately....
I would say its pretty safe to say there is a lot of Arsenal fans who wanted him, many UTD had him as their pref before LVG and I have also seen many Chelsea & City fans want him in - he is a very likeable character with the record to demand respect from his players.
People talk about his last year at Dortmund where he lost his best players to Bayern then 70% of his 1st team to injury but when he got them back they had title winning form again...
Lets just hope he can get our team to Gel, bring out the best of our better players and promote some youth -
