I have not been to Anfield in a couple of seasons now, and especially last season and the start of this I really couldnt be arsed- the place seemingly was devoid of passion- I think BR did not inspire confidence.

However, I am properly excited for this new era, I think Anfield will once again have a little bit of bounce.

No one has said we will win the league. It is simply the start of what feels like it could be an exciting new era; a new manager always bring new hope and if as fans you cannot be excited by that, maybe we just all sit here glib and silent and if anyone shows a modicum of hope or excitement, we should just pi$$ on it.

SMH.
How dare we get excited about football - crikey

If football is not meant to give you a buzz then why bother? surely its why we watch the game, pay the money, get so passionate - its something we love and at this moment in time LFC fans are more than excited about the signing of a world class manager - so understandably there is a lot of excitement right now as like most LFC fans I didnt think we were able to attract someone like Klopp anymore.
Absolutely, every Liverpool fan should enjoy today, you've got rid of a nonsense peddler and got a genuinely top manager in his place. You can't predict how its going to go but if you don't enjoy today and get excited you may as well give up on football.

Enjoy it chaps

Seems like an interesting bloke!

Actually made me laugh a couple of times.
That's the first Premier League press conference I've watched right through. The guy oozes charisma, is funny and engaging and clearly knows his stuff.

Loved his comment about the media, had me laughing out loud. His timing was spot on..... hehe

The NORMAL ONE - no pretensions, no obvious ego, just a great confidence (there is a difference Maureen), how refreshing for a top-level manager ...

Very intelligent guy eager to work with Liverpool.

Seems really happy to be there. News conference is electric, with all the journos hanging on every word. I hope he is still as upbeat six months in - he seems very relaxed about it all.

Great stuff!

Agree and I thought he came across really well and you can see the passion he has and I also love how humble he comes across too.

I am getting really excited about the future now and it seems to me like a cracking appointment for LFC.

After that press conf, I'm, sure when he comes out for the first home game the place will sound incredible!

The press really are wkers, they were trying to get him to say we'll win the Prem in x etc but he's too experienced for that and he doesn't know when - no-one does.

What you've got is a young, progressive football man who will attract great players to the clubs in for the future. I'd want to play for him if I was a footballer that's for sure - he wants to play full throttle (his words) football, pressing, fast play. Far more exciting than that other lot who play up north in red! (And not Barnsley)!

Well, I think he's an exciting addition to the premier league. He's the kind of guy to get you back to top 3 for sure.

He looked fit and well too, like the break he's had was really good for him. I thought he looked a bit frazzeled at the end of his Dortmund days.

I used to want to put my foot through the television whenever I listened to BR and this guy had my full attention and engaged me totally and the last time I was this excited was when Kenny came back in, cant wait to see what the future holds.

One of his best quotes was the one about not carrying history around in your backpack (or words similar). That is so important at a club like yours that he isn't weighed down with the ghosts of Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish etc and what they achieved for the club.

He is Klopp; he will be respectful of those names but LFC now is all about Klopp and what he does rather than what happened at the club 40-50 years ago. It bears little relevance any more to the modern game.

Thank you Keyser beer

I can't believe how F'ing exciting this all is!

I kinda love him already, and as for the money we are paying, I think it's high time that a good manager is the priority when it comes to spending in football!

fking hell, the amount of hype is hilarious... as if we're somehow immediately going to stroll to a treble and win the ECL (that we're not even in) laugh

Let's at least give the guy a few months before calling him the 2nd coming.

Fair comment.

I'm not being negative about Klopp (I do think he's a good appointment!), just think it might be best to wait until we see his influence on the team before thinking 'all our troubles are sorted'.

It's still the same squad of players we had last week.

I'll be interested to see how the press spin his comment about bringing a title in 4 years.

i didn't quite catch the full wording but he ended with - "or my next job will be in ..... Switzerland"

He was obviously joking and not making predictions.

Listening in at work via radio on my phone. Made me laugh too. Great comic timing. First time I've listened or watched a PC and wished I was there for the whole thing.
