In a team where the previous manager didn't seem to have any idea of formation it is an issue for debate.
For instance, is Cann a centre back?
As an issue, yes that's something to debate. His name isn't though - it's Can. And no, of course he isn't - that's one thing I'm sure we're all looking forward to; players being played in their strongest positions more often. For instance, is Cann a centre back?

So what's Can's best position?
Wasn't he bought as a midfielder? Can we answer the question without seeing him play there? He's got an engine on him and likes to burst forward. Not in a Gerrard way but he certainly likes to bring the ball forward. I trust Klopp to work with him and use him - he should certainly be one of our better players.RedTrident said:
I am certain that given 300 million and even without inheriting a player like Suarez, Klopp will show us all how much of a better Liverpool manager he is than that clown who has finally been kicked out of the club.
Who knows, he might even find a use for Lovren.
It's disingenuous to overlook that BR turned Suarez and Sterling into £124m players - he absolutely deserves to be recognised for the man management and coaching of that.Who knows, he might even find a use for Lovren.
Not sure why you keep pratting on about BR - move on for gods sake.

Its all in the way its reported. There had been reports they met and had talks with him to see if he was interested - and he wasn't.Slight difference.

How do you measure that though? It will be very difficult if not nearly impossible to improve on 2nd place in 3 seasons. If the best he does is 3rd or 4th place and a cup or two will that be more success? Not to mention despite all the questions about Rodgers he has the second highest win rate of recent managers. I am happy we have changed managers as I couldn't see Rodgers improving us as nothing he was trying worked, but in terms of stats (apart from cups) Rodgers will not be super easy to beat.
I think its a sign of progress, not only finishing places. For example BR team was going forward when it finished 2nd, but then it fell apart and he couldn't solve the problems. Election and tactics got lost, form dropped, I couldn't tell you what he was trying to do. Were we playing 2 upfront 3 at the back etc, it got confused. He had lost his way. Also I had grown tired of the side not being able to defend, and despite BR saying lots of work had been done on this, the glass jaw remained. Winning sides don't ship goals for fun, BR always did.
Now if Klopp is building a side and you can see what he is trying to build, fans will be patient and it should lead to good things. If there is a problem and he fixes it, again i will be happy.
For me this season is building, lets see, in and around the top 4 would be good, and maybe a decent cup run, but i know he will need time. The guy shown at his pervious clubs give him time and he brings success

WKND is fast approaching - big game on our hands, 1 too early I imagine for many real changes to have taken place - lets just hope for something entertaining

Spurs away....? If you get a 5-0 win then I think you can blame the players for not giving their all for Rodgers. Too early for Klopp to make a significant difference.Lucas has been talking about Klopp

I expect you to get a "new guvnor" bounce back win though.

Not so sure it will be that simple, Spurs are a good side and I am sure there players will also be up for it ... would take a draw I expect you to get a "new guvnor" bounce back win though.

Would love it if he played half your players out of position, and then subbed your attack with some wing backs at 2-0 down.....Oh god I miss Brendan.
