Just watching the 1st half on SNF... good opportunity watch the game with a bit less nerves/emotion and bit more objectivity.
Coutinho, Lalana and Firmino were brilliant... Coutinho, in particular, was outstanding. But all made possible by the hardwork Chan, Milner and Lucas put in... they won everything mid field.
Should really have been 1-5 at half time... Formino should have had a hat trick.
Defense actually looked pretty solid too for the most part... but important Chan and Lucas know where each other is, so at least one of them is offering some cover... bit of danager they all both pulled too far forward when they are pressing.
If we can play anything close to that most weeks I'll be happy.

Awesome result and putting to bed very firmly the 'no goals in this midfield' nonsense.
No current Liverpool midfielder has scored more than 5 goals in the league for the reds. Before this game we had scored something like 12 goals in the last 13 game. Coutinho looks like realising his potential this season and Firmino finally breaks his duck. If Coutinho and Firmino play like they did today, then there will be a good number of goals going forward but for sure in the last season and the start of this season, the midfield were generally firing blanks.type-r said:

If you can play like that most weeks, you'll certainly finish top two/three. I only saw bits of the live game and then the highlights later but what a difference a few weeks (and a new manager) make ... Incredible.Coutinho, Lalana and Firmino were brilliant... Just play like this at home ... Press, press, press, I thought Suarez was back ...

Next 6 games - all winnable.
Swansea
Newcastle
West brom
Watford
Leicester
Sunderland
I think you're being rather unkind to the league leaders there... Swansea
Newcastle
West brom
Watford
Leicester
Sunderland
But I reckon maximum points from most of those games will get up to top 5 perhaps. Consistency and some home form are Klopp's next challenges - all a matter of time and patience. All going ok so far, if not quicker than expected.

I do believe we can take maximum points all the way to the New Year.

Leicester are doing amazingly well...but... They haven't played any really 'big' teams apart from Arsenal (who took them apart 5-2) and Spurs. They have also only kept 2 clean sheets since season start. They're very beatable.

This is LFC, you know Swansea and Newcastle will both batter us I do believe we can take maximum points all the way to the New Year.

Well if we want to show we're top 4 capable, 15 out of 18 from those opponents at least should be expected I suppose (not suggesting any losses there btw!). But Klopp is very dismissive of promising anything this season - he knows it will take time. I'm just happy he's got them playing good footy again.
Some of the movement ahead of the ball yesterday was frighteningly good ...who did the stepover on the edge of the City area in the 2nd half to give Firmino that chance he should have clipped over Hart's outstretched leg? Superb footy that was ...
