yikes

70 games played, 68 games missed due to injury.
Your kidding right? He's played MORE than he's sat out? Unbelievable.

I have given up on Sturridge. Seriously WTF!? Just when he gives you hope he is about to make his comeback, yet again he manages to tweak something. Has to be mental issue more than a physical one.
It must be a mental issue - Gerrard was quoted as saying as much in his latest book. I think Sturridge has a serious problem. Trouble is he's being paid 10s of thousands of pounds a week to whinge about having felt a tweak...

Even more reason for him to have a bit more about him. I hope we have him insured... :/

Some of the Vines out there are hilarious. This is my favoueite:

"Daniel Sturridge this morning on hearing he could be in line to face Bordeaux..."

Nice goal by Benteke and another win - nice to be heading into the Xmas run with a few wins.

Agree and if you were managing him it would just end up blowing your mind because you just cant rely on him...get shut of him I say.

I'd imagine that thought has crossed a few minds at LFC

Probably the same as when Chelsea agreed to off load him. The trouble is I can't see anybody wanting him, he's clearly (now and perhaps before we signed him) a liability

Yes I agree and it seems we will be stuck with him for the reasons you mention. frown

Think we just have to get as many games out of him as we can, every season.

Thought Benteke was superb last night, by far his best game for us. Ibe was also very good. The formation has to be the preferred I think, the Christmas tree formation

Such a shame about Ings because he was looking very good

But why?

He's obviously quality when he works.

You and I don't pay his wage so ultimately he's no affect to us.

The argument might be we can get something in replacement/he's taking up a new players space but there's plenty of crap in our team doing just that, at least Sturridge is quality.

We can't sell him injured and if we could only sell him when he works, well we'd want to keep him.

He's done enough at this club to warrant our
support.

he is quality but he is only going to be worth anything when he has a long period in the team and if that is case, we should keep him.
If we tried to sell him in the next few months, no one would buy him (or pay his wages)

Yes I agree it doesn't matter to us but I just see it as a complete waste of money and get how much frustration he must cause with the players and manager and the fact that he is quality only makes this more heightened.

Don't get me wrong I think he is a great player but I would rather have someone in my team that can be relied on and not someone that is a constant sick note.
