Not really no. I just accept that England got lucky that day, just as they were unlucky at the world cup with lampard.
That's the way it goes sometimes.

Oh and yes I am 1/4 German, and I have a vaguely germanic surname - hence the username.
All that means is once England exit the world cup, I can at least support a team likely to win it biggrin

Germany vs France tonight, 9pm on BBC 3. Should hopefully be one of the games of the tournament (which seems to have been set up for a USA / Canada final).

I think England might beat Canada. Probably should keep my trap shut.
C'mon the lionesses.

What a howler! My three year old daughter would have buried that. Still, at least we still get pens now.

Germany on penalties. Typical.

France were by far the better team in that game.

So far the US ate looking impressive against a frustratingly limited China.
That Morgan has some talent though, blimey.

They made it in the end. USA's training looked a lot more professional than the rest I've seen too.
That was the last one in Ottawa though. I'm heading home tomorrow, it's been good it's a nice city.

Given the number of debutantes this world cup (and the massive disceprancy in funding between the men's and women's gane) it's not surprising there are a few weaker teams. It will be the same at the euros in 2016.

What is refreshing is the lack of diving, theatrics, abusing the ref etc. They still seem to be genuinely enjoying themselves.

Plus the standard is nowhere near as bad as people make out.
They picked it up pretty quickly though hehe

I'm watching.
Although Canada are playing far better than England.
But at least the ladies are playing with passion and converting chances

Been listening to it on and of whilst out working. Just got in for some food so will see some of the second half, then back to the listening on the radio.

I hope we continue to be positive, I am not sure we can defend a 1 goal lead.

We've got no.midfield at the moment which is worrying, Canada are moving forwards with no trouble at all.
