Do you have a goalkeeping curse? Is it just me or has Cech made quite a few errors this season?!
Big changes needed this summer for Arsenal. I was always a fan of Wenger (I'm a United fan), but this season I think has told me it really is time for him to go. Some of the results have been an absolute joke for Arsenal since December. 4-0 Vs Southampton probably being the worst.
Why is he not addressing the obvious weak areas in the squad? That defence has been terrible for so many years now and you've been without a world class striker since 2012? What is the man doing??
However, be happy that you don't have LVG in charge!

You know, I'm inclined to say we'll take our chances with him. Swap?
i agree i think hes done quite well considering the squad and how its drastically changed this season. my god, if he had our squad, such a forgiving and passive fan base and board with no real conviction/objective to win but qual in 4th he would have probably pulled it off!
lets face it, afc zero pressure environment would be a cake walk for a guy thats used to handling big egos and demanding fans.

Empty seats, is it a youth match?
Voting with their feet? Hit what Wenger and the Board hold dearest to one another, their pockets...The real money comes from TV and it makes little difference how busy the stadium is for that.

The money from ticket sales pretty much pays for the police, stewards and ground staff.

The cash cow machine is relentless people, you can't stop it. 4th spot is most likely ours,as per Wengers job description for yet another season. He gets his £8M salary + rise, then we get past the group phase of CL for another £16M or whatever it is and the wheels keep turning around ...... and round ..... and around The real money comes from TV and it makes little difference how busy the stadium is for that.
People who buy tickets are getting mugged off.

Plus they said the attendance/ticket sales tonight was over 59,000 - so not really hitting their pockets...
That's only because like everything else, the attendance figures are a con, as they include season tickets holders who may decide not to both going but don't offer up their tickets. It's astonishing that the club has the front (as do others) to bother giving attendance figures when it's simply not the actual amount of bodies being counted through the turnstiles......the amount of empty seats seen by your own eyes is a greater evidence than any 'official' club attendance figure. You'd have to be blind and stupid to believe the club attendance figure as being true.

In fact it's the most profitable football stadium in the world, with match day revenues exceeding £100m last season. Which is more than they received from TV money.
The Guardian podcast said this week that Arsenal get £3.8M in gate receipts every home match .
Haven't the empty seats already been paid for ?
A couple of chaps at work were on the AFC ticket exchange for last nights game mulling over weather to pay £73.00 for the upper tier or not. bloody crazy but still a far better way than stubhub that we sadly have.

No. i'm not having that unless you have the entire Met & the Royal Marines there. The real money comes from TV and it makes little difference how busy the stadium is for that.
Policing & stewarding simply cannot cost that much.

£100,000-£200,000 per game would seem more likely with the largest cost probably being the emergency services.

Agreed. Whilst the relatively speaking the ticket revenue is a small income stream it's laughable to suggest Policing, Stewing and match staff costs anywhere remotely close to that.

Can't speak for stewards or match day staff - but the police costs work out on average 1m per season.£100,000-£200,000 per game would seem more likely with the largest cost probably being the emergency services.

I believe that the times I worked at the stadium and watched the attendance data in the control room, it matched to what the club was reporting as their attendance for the game.
Even when a stadium is 'full' to capacity, you can still find empty seats as they are required to have them.
