What about Morata? Yeh I know, every year all teams fans get bombarded by loose tongues and idle gossip regarding the next big signing but this one seems to suggest there are attempts to get him.

From alot that I've read he's been compared to Xabi Alonso. A tough tackler with a good first touch and a leader on the pitch (He's Monchengladbach captain).

I think one of the biggest reasons for getting this done early is the chance that post Euro's he'd probably cost a lot more.

I don't think any of us know with Xhaka whether he's up to it....Wenger has many faults and like every manager has made mistakes in the transfer market but generally he gets it right. Where he definitely gets it wrong is the amount of players....

What we do need is a leader on the pitch and this bloke sounds like he might be more of that kind of player.

So what does everyone think about the appointment of Maureen at the plastic Mancs ?
While we prepare for yet another season of Grounhog day.
The trouble is for Wenger being he's never been able to install enough,in his own words,'mental spirit',so Utd could have Coco the feckin Clown as manager we still wouldn't be able to beat 'em.

Possibly makes the chance of a top 4 finish next year even harder, and certainly for the year after.

With Pep at City, Maureen at Manure, Klopp at Liverpool, Poch at Spuds, Conte at Chelski and with Bilic/West Ham and Koeman/Saints (if they keep him) snapping at their heels, it's going to be put up or shut up time for Wenger.
