Welbeck "out for months" had surgery on his knee last week....I wonder why that snippet didn't hit the news until now.
And here we go again. Injuries start to bite, particularly in the area we should have strengthened. It's a absolutely disgrace, we've got Welbeck out, Walcott isn't a centre forward to save his life, Alexis isn't comfortable there either and we've sent Akpom on loan.Total shambles. Same issues every year; failure to recruit, poor start to the season, injuries in key areas.
(Copy and paste ready for use next year!)

Just fking speechless about the whole Welbeck cover up. It should be unbelievable...but sadly it isn't.
Still Wenger knows best and all that..
When I thought it wasn't possible to be even more incensed by the total failure of Wenger to carry out his responsibilities and duties as one the most highly (overpaid and overrated) managers in football he gives us a little more. A little more for the fans to fire at him and plenty more for fans of other clubs to ridicule us for.Still Wenger knows best and all that..
Mark my words; Ozil and or Sanchez will demand transfers away if they believe their ambitions as players are not matched by the ambitions of the club. We are letting all our top players down by recruiting them under false pretences frankly.

Yep, completely agree. If the club have aspirations of challenging for the title again they have an odd way of showing it. I am beginning to wander if a large contributing factor is the ineptitude/lack of experience of the European game of the likes of Gazidis and the senior management to be able to close out any potential deal. Not sure if anyone is interested, but there is a squad signed Arsenal team pic for auction by my team (AFC Wimbledon) fanzine.
Currently at £80: http://www.wupgb.co.uk/auction.php
I've nothing to gain from this, but figured that an Arsenal fan might be interested. I think it's part of a silent auction. I'm not really sure of the details behind it
Yes, I am bidding, as Mrs. K is a supporter, and it's birthday soon

I agree he isn't a 'league winning' striker but he is clearly not a 'championship level striker'.
who knows? hes hails from such illustrious clubs as grenoble, tours and montpellier and is not afc standard. seeing him in a team that doesn't have the likes of santi, ozil, ramsey, alexis, ox passing him perfect balls....how many goals would he get then? cant help but feel sorry for harry kane who is in the complete opposite situation!
anyway... hes got be be replaced.... end of

montpellier
Where he won the top French division and was the top scorer in the league? He isn't world class, but in the past 3 seasons he's scored nigh on 60 goals, which isn't a bad return (considerably more than Wayne Rooney in the same period for instance). After Christmas this year, there were a couple of months where we relied on his goals almost as much as we relied on Alexis' goals before Christmas. He also has almost 40 caps for France.
I'm not saying he can't be improved upon, but "a chump"? A "Championship level player"? I also remember a while ago someone referring to him as a "fat wimp" on this thread. The abuse he gets is nothing short of bizarre and entirely at odds with his contribution to the team.
As I said, not world class, but a bad player? Not even close.

Wilshere suffers injury setback. Another month.
If I had my way the Manager and the entire medical staff would be dismissed for their professional incompetence. I've never known anything like it. How many times have we heard the words 'injury set back' in relation to Arsenal players in recent seasons?
The total failure to accurately diagnose the injury to Welbeck ending in the player spending months on the sideline. The repeated issues in relation to Wilshere, we've had the same with Arteta, Rosicky , Diaby to name just a few.
We have a manager who is so arrogant his dismisses the views of the fans and experienced fellow professionals. His latest incredulous comments in relation to finding forwards are just insulting quite frankly. We're in the top 5 richest clubs in the world in one of the greatest city's in the world in the greatest league in the world and this clown wants us to believe it's not possible to attract the players we need to strengthen!
On the 30th June we signed Petr Cech. I thought this was a fabulous signing and showed the kind of ambition we need to bridge the gap. We had 3 months to go out and sign the quality players we needed in Centre Midfield and Centre Forward and we failed. Instead what we've witnessed is the clubs we're trying to bridge the gap too get stronger and we've just stood still.
I don't know what it takes for this fking club to get its act together in the board room, in the dressing, on the pitch and in the treatment room. The whole place is totally shambolic!
My heartfelt apologies to Ozil, Sanchez, Cech, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla and Koscielny that your careers, which are shorted lived, are being totally wasted here. I urge you all to leave for the good of your careers because nothing is going to change here. Simply; your talents and aspirations as players are sadly not matched by the ambitions of Arsenal Football Club which is in a serious state of neglect and stagnation.
