Honestly think if Wenger had got hold of DW two or three years ago when we had Chamakh, Bentdner, Gervinho, Arshavin, Sanogo etc all tried in that striker role I'd think we'd have a fantastic player on our hands. I just don't think he'll get a run in the team now....his most likely position is probably wide left behind Alexis as it's somewhere we really don't have decent cover.

Had a 'discussion' with a Liverpool fan at the pub who thought Benteke should have had a comfortable penalty near the end when Gabriel got in his way infront of goal from a cross. Didn't stick around for the analysis - what was everyone else's thoughts?

Fair result. Arsenal need to improve sharpish.

Benteke clearly being impeded, shirt pulled - yes it was a foul and therefore a penalty but one of those that is always given outside the box, rarely inside.

Draw about fair, Cech saved you big time, sounds like we got lucky with an offside (missed first 15 mins) - as an LFC fan I was very pleased with the first half and better defending, and a point away is good against a top 4 side

Hmm, I saw the hand over his shoulder but no shirt being pulled, and short of Gabriel literally stepping to one side to let him past then not sure how he couldn't not 'impede' him. Haven't seen it mentioned in any match reports or even in live commentary feeds either.

Arsenal had a penalty shout with Lucas on Giroud and we had a shout with Gabriel on Benteke. Either of them could have been given, but I'm glad the game wasn't decided with a pen.
