So much good work done since August then the brittle weak minded Arsenal is with us again. The attitude of the players today was a disgrace and some of their actions absolutely brainless.

We've got the best squad we've had in years. It's possibly the best squad in the league but the attitude and mentality is poor and it's the same every year.

We weren't bullied today, we just didn't bother!

Pretty abysmal that, sorry to say - did they even want to win?

What an utterly gutless piece of crap performance 2nd half, even by Arsene Arsenal standards. Would have been out of sight 1st half if we'd even shown an ounce of killer instinct. Wenger outs are getting earlier each season. Can we have a team with a backbone please,oh and not Xhaka as he stunk the place out tonight (and has been recently tbh). And as for Ozil wanting a pay rise ha haha spin on this. Get a spine first and show up in a big game FFS.

For what it's worth I'm conceding any chance we have of competing let alone winning the title after today.

Out of two competitions now then, the other two should be concluded by February as per normal.

Alan Shearer on MOTD last Saturday saying the Arsenal and Chelsea only teams with a spine.

Danny Mills at half time today saying Arsenal look like champions.

It is one way then the other at the moment. Even the pundits don't know which Arsenal team turns up... And now we have got it down to a different team each half!

You know what really pisses on my chips though is that each season we get a little inkling that things are looking bright and it's all going to be different this season (3-0 Chelsea, win CL group) then the inevitable implosion. Every season. And I'm stupid enough to believe it each time. But at least I don't subscribe to the Kronke-money-making-sausage-machine,you'd have to be some kind of mug to do that.

If it's been pretty much the same for every season in a long long time why would any of you think it would be any different this season when the same approach is still used?

He'll deliver you top 4 and knockout stages of the Champions League pretty much every season.

I think the encouragement this year was the signing of a quality centre half and a centre mid. Unfortunately, Mustafi is out injured and Xhaka seems to be struggling to adjust. We also bought an interesting player in Perez but we've not given him a chance.

I think the only thing we need now is a replacement for Cazorla who is very injury prone and not getting any younger. Aside from that we need a change in attitude.

My feelings exactly. In fact, I'm tired of it all.

Where to start.
Walcott took his goal well but was invisible most of the match like Ozil but he hooks Coquelin off.
Did Wenger think we could hold out for 84 minutes?
This total football needs shelving when you are losing with 10 minutes to go, it needs a bit of route 1, the sideways passing and close range passing was just a waste of time today.
No wonder AOC is getting pissed off, he should get a start.

Stunning change in fortunes today.

At half-time, I thought Arsenal could go on a challenge for the title. The way they chucked it in the second half, surely missing out on a top 4 a possibility?

Same old.

Its all too predictable though.

Mind you even with the most recent run of form, I've not ever thought we could challenge for the title this season, not by a long way.

Seeing Sanchez on his haunches reminded me of a dejected Jack Wilshere in the cup final against the mighty Birmingham.

It's a bad time to lose form with the contract negotiations of the big guns taking place - not only could Ozil and Sanchez get more money elsewhere they will also have a greater chance of winning titles elsewhere.

Woeful performance yesterday....never,ever felt like we'd keep them out for 90 mins. Team looked out on its feet. For all the talk of a big squad we don't appear able to rotate...can't help feeling we could/should have rested players against Basle which eventually caught up with us. I think Mustafi is a big miss....his passing out from the back is a huge positive for the team. There were times yesterday where we just couldn't get hold of/retain the ball.

Contract renewal versus desire for success. Everyone can be bought, especially if you've been there and lifted (various) trophies.
