If that's the case then I assume that kicking out in frustration is a straight red. Like Beckham on Simeone back in 98.

Won them the game though didn't it . Gabriel was just stupidly naive to let Costa get the better of him.

I don't think there is a football follower anywhere that believes Costa didn't deserve a red for what happened.

Jose will love all this anti Chelsea media stuff & will use it to inspire his team.

Unbelievable that got a straight red in the light of what Costa did in the game which didn't even get a yellow.

Absolutely. There's a concerted campaign against us and Costa is the victim.

Listening to the radio earlier someone made the point how Drogba was a) physical and b) a great player...neither of which I can disagree with. I'd have loved him in the Arsenal team.

Costa's not fit to lace Drogba's boots and I'd never want to see him in an Arsenal shirt.
Yes - Drogba was an immense footballer, I'd have been delighted to have him and Hazard.
Whilst not speaking for Alfahorn, its amazing what time does to opinions - go back a few years on these threads and Drogba was an awful diving cheat etc etc etc wink

As above he got a yellow and a straight red. If it was two yellows for the second offence Dean would have got the yellow out and then the red immediately after. Which he didn't do...he just got the red card out.

I am very pleased report Costa has been charged by FA for violent conduct on Kosielny (sp?)

Many years ago in a world cup competition, a very talented portuguese lad "winked"............and instantly took the heat off a shambolic tournament performance from a pathetic group of overated english players.
The movement of an eyelid distracted a nation (fuelled by the redtops) from the truth about its national side. They couldn't believe their luck.

................and so it goes !

He gets a three match ban, they get the three points, we lose AGAIN and siege mentality is restored at stamford bridge.
That's how Maureen mugs off Wenger AGAIN.

Wengers biggest problem, is he learns NOTHING every season.......EVERY season

Well you've just ruled out some legends of the game, including Thierry Henry. It's a good job Franco Baresi never fancied a move to Arsenal!
You're a pendant and not a particularly intelligent one.

All players have their moments during their career. There isn't a player out that hasn't had an indiscretion whilst playing the game. However, you're somehow trying to compare a player like Henry (I assume you're making reference to the Ireland game?) with Costa a known trouble maker , his game is based on causing trouble more than scoring goals.

Continue to come up with ludicrous comparisons with Arsenal players past and present all you like. Simply, there is no defence for actions of Costa. I think it's sad that you seek to defend him rather than distance yourself from his actions if you were a good footballing person.

Maybe it's because it's a great opportunity to troll?

Absolutely spot on yet people still back him and past players refuse to criticise him. Well apart from Merse a couple of times and Stewart Robson.

And we've been charged with failing to control our players. The players being held responsible as a result of they're reaction to the referee failing to do his job properly.

Too many people have accepted that we're just stuck with him, as we know the board aren't going to sack him, and he's far too stubborn to quit so I have no doubt we'll still be having this conversation in 3+ years time....... banghead

It would seem pretty easy to get him sent off if you just kept your cool. Doesn't take much to wind him up. If he was a Master of the Dark Arts, as some claim, then he wouldn't rise to any provocation, whilst niggling away at everyone else. Unstead, he's clearly just a bit unhinged. As you say, a suitable gameplan shouldn't be too hard to execute.
