When Garde took the Villa job pretty much on the advice from talking to Wenger, I thought then that was an indication that Wenger was lining him up as his replacement. Wenger has always said his replacement will be someone he signed as a player, and he probably told Garde, take the Villa job, get some EPL experience under your belt and if you keep them up, the Arsenal job will be yours in a few years time.....

Of course, one has to wonder, looking into the future, how will Henri develop as a coach, and is he the one being groomed for the job...?

I dont see anything in th14 tgat is management material and although he is one of my afc heros i would rather a specialist in management with top flight european experience.

Klopp can attract half the german national team. Not sure who th14 could attract.

Really sad state of affairs !

I wouldnt mind it if we kept tabs on nevilles progress. Hes got the minerals and is cutting his teeth nicely. Hes taking big risks and learning at the v deep end. I admire that

Not for me, I was just in agreement about him learning from being chucked in the deep end and admiring him for giving that a go.

I have no idea who's the best bet for taking over from Wenger, now that most, if not all, the preferred options are now unavailable.

My suspicion is that Wenger will still be in charge in 5 years time.

Hes lining up to be a very good manager if he keeps the curve in the right direction .. th14 probably wont be a good manager, my only point.

I would rather the good manager but seeing as we all seem agree a top flight candidate wont be coming in as wengers replacement ?!

Extremely!!!! Was one of those nights where nothing we seemed to attempt came off. Had the chances, just couldn't put the ball in the net. 5 points off the top now and the spuds have overtaken us now, albeit on goal difference frown

4th place in a season where Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool are nowhere near competitive... Bit of a disaster in the making.

Losing the will to live with this team. I feel like I waste so much energy supporting this team, to the point where every time chertain players had the ball it was extremely predictable what was going to happen next.

Giroud, might be top scorer but by the look on his face when he misses even he cant believe it.

When was the last great Memorable Arsenal performance. I dont remember one this season so far. Of this current bunch theres 5 I would keep that are the only ones gauranteed a place on the team sheet, the rest can fk right off.

Only so long players like Özil, Sanchez and Cech are going to hang around this st.

One of the richest and biggest teams in the league yet our fitness is atrocious, we look so fked at the end against Southampton for fks sake.

Rant over.

Edit: Thought our fans were classless s for booing when Fonte was down getting bandaged up.

Edit: Edit: Makes it an even more bitter pill to swallow when the worst United in years have just dropped Stoke and Leicester put 2 past Liverpool, 2 teams we struggled with and failed to beat.

And if Leicester turn us over at the Emirates in a few weeks time, it could be a massive 8 points behind them and scraping 4th with a hat-rick of FA Cups will seem like a good season again......

As someone said, I can't see Ozil and Alexis hanging around beyond the end of next season at best (or maybe even this one!)

Dont blame the team chaps, rannieris mob are a lesser side than us...i cant get emotive about it as its the same every season w wenger.. stop ignoring the now quite disrespectful elephant in the room:-

The Frenchman reportedly complained to Mason: “It’s always the same with you.” Koeman, however, saw the exchange and intervened, telling Wenger: “And it’s always the same with you. You had 10 chances to score and couldn’t take any of them so why have a go at them?”
