I've added a NSFW to my original post due to the language. Apologies to the mods in advance.

It's not worth dragging up stuff from old.

There's enough to sort out from today. Scottish football is getting dragged through the mud again. It really doesn't help with all the internet accusations stirring things up.

If all these assault accusations turn out not to be true, Rangers should be thrown out the league.

Congratulations to the Hi-Bees. Doesn't sound like Gers were up to much today - turns out you can't lose them all.

As I understand it a Rangers player was knocked unconscious and other staff required treatment due to attacks...?

A player knocked unconscious on the park and nobody noticed?

There's footage of Hibs fans palm slapping Miller, there's videos of Miller walking off calmly. Thousands of violent Hibs fans running on to the park and assaulting him and he strolled off?

Davie Weir is filmed at the touchline looking fine and calm.

It'll be interesting to see what comes forward, but it's amazing that so far that is absolutely zero when this violence was so widespread and one sided. The videos so far hold zero reflection of the way Rangers and their fans have portrayed the events.

Wolf has been cried too often to even give Rangers the benefit of the doubt.

Hopefully all blown out of proportion as you have suggested. Travesty for our game if not.

No mention as yet of behaviour on Leith Walk last night?

Up until about 8pm all was fine, a few boisterous types outside pubs but reasonable. Then as a coaches dropped off fans a bit of a crowd started forming. First it was singing, chanting and flag waving, then flares were lit, then they started blocking the road stopping traffic, then cans started getting thrown at buses.... Fortunately after about 30 mins the police arrived managing to keep the worst of it off of the road however the restaurant we were in was forced to shut (halfway through our meal) as fans started coming in trying to buy more drink and demanding to use the toilets. There was also an unsavoury moment as a couple of individuals decided to start making lewd comments to female diners in the restaurant....

Anyway, short story, what should have been a historic day tarnished by drunken s and evenings of innocent people ruined.

Utter fking scum it seems.
Falkirk last year had nil trouble, no bigoted chants but a few smoke bombs.

Yes the one thing the snp, police and spfl want to get rid of so much that's so deadly.

I expect an utter knee jerk from all the authorities that as usual will only effect a teams support that behaves.

I see it all the time in Scottish football. Big crowd. Do what the fk you want. However, police and stewards are awfully good at being big men when it's 100 falkirk fans at Dumbarton and treat you like scum.

If attacking the players is proved hibs must face a huge penalty. Not a fine. I'm talking a closed door match at home only open to away support. That would sort that st out. That or points deduction

Likewise for Rangers. The next time a ftp song is sung.

I have to say most Rangers fans done well not to react at this taunting yesterday.

Can't wait for falkirks pitch invasion today laugh

Have you not read the thread? You're well off message.

Thousands of Hibs fans on pitch? OK
Hibs fans slapping Rangers players? OK because the player walked away
Hibs fans allegedly spitting on and/or otherwise assaulting Rangers players/staff? Unproven, so it didn't happen.
A handful of Rangers fans retaliating? Burn them! Rangers bad! Sectarian!

technodup, I don't often agree with you but yesterday was fking disgusting behaviour by Hibs fans.

Absolutely inexcusable and the club deserve to be hammered when the SFA penalise them. So-called fans should get lifetime bans from all football grounds.

Totally spoiled my delight at winning the trophy.

You're the man who has previously said there is nothing wrong with winding up the opposition and singing offensive songs wasn't an issue either. It didn't actually cause any harm. It's all part of the banter apparently and it was all part of football you enjoyed.

Now winding up the opposition is now offensive and an issue?

You were the guy that didn't have an issue with the punching and kicking of a Motherwell player last season.

The Hibs fans shouldn't have been on the pitch, but are we pretending a pitch invasion has never happened before? There was a pitch invasion on Friday night in England. There was no fighting at that as the losing fans didn't come on to the pitch for confrontation.

From the thousands of Hibs fans on the park the vast majority of them didn't do it for any other reason than to celebrate. All the solid evidence so far the fighting was 50:50.

if there was "thousands" of hibs fans on the pitch then there must have been "thousands" of Rangers fans for it to be 50/50 yes?-unless your just trying to detract and deflect attention away from the debacle after the match [where the best side won in the end according to every blue nose I've talked to so far....] and as we have seen from above a return to the 1970's last night in Edinburgh.

I sincerly hope that Hibs and the SFA work together to extirpate the disease that exists at Easter Road.

It's football, of course you wind up the opposition fans. But 'offensive' songs are just that, we can argue about the offensive part all day long but they're still just songs.

But storming the pitch en masse, ripping it up, breaking the goals, spitting, physically antagonising rivals, assaulting players ffs, that's something else entirely. And no amount of green tinted solidarity will disguise it.

I've never said Rangers fans are perfect, all clubs have an element of support they've probably do without, but when we overstep the mark (as a tiny minority did in Manchester) we are castigated, not applauded, condoned or excused.

The world was watching this. And you know what? It's not the Rangers fans they think are wks.

I haven't got a clue what your are on about.

Where am I trying to deflect from anything?

I like everyone else is really unhappy that Hibs fans have behaved badly and brought shame on Scottish football.

Every last one that committed any offence of assault, tearing up the pitch, breaking the goals should hopefully all be found, banned and charged.

The fighting that is all filmed is exactly that, fighting. Hibs fans didn't run into the stands and drag Rangers fans on to the park for a fight. Rangers fans came on to the pitch and took part in the fighting.

The vast majority of the Hibs fans on the park were celebrating, they were not fighting. I haven't suggested there was as many Rangers fans on the park. I've said there was as many Rangers fans involved in fighting as Hibs fans.

Hibs fans goaded Rangers fans. Are we going to pretend Rangers fans didn't dish out their own abuse during and after the game too?

I'm hearing all the Rangers fans crying about abuse, bigoted behaviour, assaults as if they were the completely innocent victims.

Are people really that stupid?

Solely blaiming Hibs is completely detracting from the part Rangers fans played in the incident. For all the issues that need sorted at Hibs, too many stones are being thrown in glass houses elsewhere.

Police Scotland's statement was a fairer reflection yesterday. They are supposed to comment later on today and it'll be interesting what they find.

I can already guess that if it doesn't go Rangers' way there will be big claims of always against us, whitewash, sweep sweep and more utter denial of any wrongdoing.
