You are OK with that picture above? If that had been Rangers supporters attacking opposition players a nuclear bomb would have landed at Ibrox by now. Get your blinkers off.
Nope the scumbag should do time, but if we go down the road of a minority of fans causing teams to be chucked out of competitions then they'll be no teams left to compete

That petition, along with the latest statement from Sevco and the cry me a river letter from a fan is mopery of the highest order

Attacking players on the pitch is so far beyond the pale that it's disgusting.

For a start, Hibs should be chucked out of next season's cup. (Hibs fan btw)
Fair play.

I've got to say I'm pleased with Rangers response. The fans have been through all sorts of crap over the last few years, through no fault of our own. Understandably everyone else has had a field day at our expense, but we're back, we're together and the club is standing firm and backing the fans.

Any cretin could see what happened yesterday so I'm not going back into it. Strange that even Hibs fans agree, just seems to be the Celtic ones who think being shoved, slapped and spat on at your workplace is acceptable.

Ultimately all this episode does is compound the no-one likes us mentality, the sense of injustice and revenge is already is strong re the teams who voted us down and all this does is deepen that. I'm not in favour of the petition either, that's pussy stuff but unfortunately it's the way things are done these days. Rise above the petty ste, let the police and SFA deal with them.
Maybe new Rangers should get the European place instead of the victors!
Do they have 4 years fully audited accounts?

I wouldn't want a tainted Euro place.

Same as I wouldn't crow about a tainted title.

Hibs fan here. No excuses for the trouble yesterday, Hibs should rightly be punished. I believe that whilst Hibs fans instigated the trouble, some goading and intimidation isn't an excuse for rangers fans to also enter the pitch. They should also face some punishment although a much lesser punishment than Hibs.

Rangers second statement I find embarrassing, riddled with hypocrisy and slanderous. An independent investigation is underway, there was no need for the statement. it severely lacks professionalism and I hope Hibs don't get drawn into the war of words, take our punishment and apologise where appropriate.

You know, they should really ban spectators from entering the field of play. Someone is going to get hurt...

Doesn't look good for the guy at all. I was genuinely expecting to see a bit more given the stories about numerous Hibs supporters pummelling him on the floor requiring security guards to help him out. The young guy should get hammered.

As for the Rangers' statement justifying their fans actions as they were witnessing the players being assaulted in front of their eyes, that's just lies.

The reports of violence came out much later and the fans were oblivious to the issues. The Rangers fans were involved in scuffles at the opposite side of the park and it was separate and irrelevant incidents.

The reason they went on the park was due to the goading in front of them. Rangers are twisting this story.

That's a poor statement.

Everything you write is a poor statement, designed to antagonise, so forgive me if I pay no credence to your opinion on anything Rangers related.

An example of your ridiculous statements around here.

There were 39 arrests out of over 150,000 people. So yes, a tiny minority.

So, are there any mods around who can go through this thread and weed out all of the troll posts? Just like what happened in the Rangers thread please.

Any references to 'Newco' or 'Sevco' etc are designed to antagonise and 'wind-up' fellow posters, and surely there is no place for that on your reputable forum right?

Antagonise? I keep asking you what I've said that is wrong, yet you always fail to find anything.

I'll ask you the question since you have pulled me up for that statement.

Do you agree that the Rangers fans ran on the park to protect the players and officials?

Do you think they seen from 100 yards away through thousands of Hibs fans, or were they oblivious?

I'm glad we've got Driver101 to clear everything up for us. Despite not actually being in the ground he seems to have the lowdown on precisely what happened, when, to whom and to what extent. All pieced together from some shoddy stills, even shoddier video and the always credible Twitter ramblings from opposition fans.

Or he's talking complete ste.

Do you honestly think that only 39 people out of the thousands that were there were causing trouble?

39 arrests does not reflect the level of trouble.

I guess trying to single out individuals within 150,000 would be a very difficult thing to do.

I read there is only 11 arrests from yesterday so far. Only minor incident too.

Is that a fair reflection of what happened yesterday?

Yesterday was inside the stadium and there was cameras everywhere. That'll hopefully make sure they get as many thugs as possible.

Let's not go over old ground with Manchester. That's done and dusted.

The Cup final is all that matters now.

You signed that petition, didn't you laugh

Press the report button on any offending post, but be warned, the mods don't take too kindly to frivolous reporting just because of bruised feelings
