I just hope the £150k Celtic generated for Sevco is invested in the team
Thanks I have similar hopes for the c. £22m (is it?) generated for Dermot Desmond, in that it stays largely out of his tax havens.A) How PLC's operate
B) That tax avoidance is different from tax evasion
Unlike SDM, Desmond could easily afford a large tax bill without leaving himself potless so wouldn't be selling up for a quid to Lyle Lanley anytime soon

An audacious Rangers fans hoping "that it stays largely out of his tax havens"?!?!That's like Peter Sutcliffe not liking another prisoner because he hit his wife.
Jeez.

Plenty of Stars of David floating around that stadium tonight. Wonder if they'll get punished
Why do you say that?Rangers fan routinely fly inappropriate flags and sing inappropriate - nay banned - songs and the authorities turn a blind eye to it. That happens week after week.

Gretna are still alive and well, along with 3rd Lanark, Meadowbank Thistle, Clydebank and others.
It's just the companies, not the clubs that were liquidated.
During the SPL era (1998-2013), five clubs have survived administration: Livingston, Hearts, Dunfermline, Motherwell and Dundee (twice). Two entered liquidation proceedings: Gretna and Rangers. It's just the companies, not the clubs that were liquidated.
Gretna went into liquidation and its history - including any silverware or championships won - was consigned to the dustbin.
Should a new club rise from its ashes, it might be able to go under the same name, but in no uncertain terms could it possibly absorb the sporting history and achievements of the previously liquidated club.
However, the club formerly known as Glasgow Rangers decided otherwise in an outrageous sleight of hand - hood-winking the gullible Rangers supporters, whilst being supported by the west coast-biased media and some crafty and devious lawyers in its blatant corruption of the rules surrounding liquidation. Sevco arose from the ashes and eventually The Rangers FC, happy to announce itself as the same club regarding trophies and glories won but wringing its hands of the inconvenience of mind-boggling debt, running into tens of millions of pounds, leaving many small businesses in precarious financial condition due to unpaid bills.
This travesty of natural justice has merely served to turn a hated club into one that is despised to an even greater depth by a watching and exasperated public and football supporters the length and breadth of Scotland.
And that's why I enjoy Hibs beating them more than all other clubs (Hearts aside, obviously).

You'll need to wait a while for that.Do fans of diddy lower division clubs really think we give a fk what you think? Or that you don't like us? It's funny that we clearly wind you up so much.
Going for 55.

That sort of arrogance is just typical. Do fans of diddy lower division clubs really think we give a fk what you think? Or that you don't like us? It's funny that we clearly wind you up so much.

The memories of the Scottish Cup Final suffice for now.
As for "55" - that's wrong. And you know it.
Edited to add: selective quoting. Eh? Do the other parts hurt?

Oh let it fking go already. I started this thread to get away from the mindless child like arguing between old firm fans.
This was for Scottish football. So yes it can include them but 5 pointless pages of inane dribbling on like kids in the playground.
Why can't yous be like the rest of Scottish football admit your clubs failings, agree if they've been st, laugh about it but most of all not retort with but in so and so yous did such and such that's worse.

Despite my earlier reply, I do completely agree with you. This was for Scottish football. So yes it can include them but 5 pointless pages of inane dribbling on like kids in the playground.

I'm a Hibee not an Old Firm fan.

Aren't Celtic whiter than white, the club of the working man and woman any more?A) How PLC's operate
