quoted from boxing day, we look so much better with davies and trippier, ben got in some great scoring positions y'day too....
Probably the best game from Davies in a long time, made some great runs into the box and down the wing and both Davies and Trippier can actually deliver a decent ball into the box.silverfoxcc said:
If all the paper talk is to believed, and i never do. Bales could be on is way out of RM ,as they want to bring in three new galacticos, bearing in mind the following
Brits only seem to spend three years at RM
Bale wants his daughter to have an British Education
Spurs have 'first refusal' should he be up for sale
RM still owe us a shedful on the deal
Levy still has most of the Bale money siting in his pigy bank
Agent aside, e doesnt need a wedge to live on once back hr,three years at 250k pw should keep him ok for the next couple of year until he rtires and buy a pub.
Wih him in this side the new WHL would be full every week and we would be winning everything in sight.
And then i wake up
The problem is that you'd have to imagine a scenario whereby Levy would pay a player £300k+ a week. The only way I could see a Bale transfer would be if ENIC sell and the new owners have a lot of cash to spend a different financial model to ENIC's (or better still, no financial model). I have no doubt that ENIC's long game is to build the stadium and then sell - they are investing money in the assets with a view to selling up for a fat profit, rather than creaming money off the top every year.Brits only seem to spend three years at RM

According to this interview, when he took over a couple of years ago, he didn't have an Agent
The Sheriff said:
Tottenham moved quickly to sign Pochettino. Since he had no agent, he negotiated directly with Levy. “He offered the contract and I say yes or no or I want more,” Pochettino said, according to The Guardian. “He has a reputation as a very hard businessman? It’s true. I can feel that.”
http://twentyminutereads.com/2015/12/27/the-sherif...Hope its not true. The lure of Manyoo would be huge they are the biggest club in the league, the money he will be given to spend and paid will be far far more than he gets here, he owes Spurs nothing and has no history with the club, he'd be silly not to consider it.
But.... is it the right time to jump ship from spurs to manyoo we will more than likely have CL football next season they wont. They are a complete basket case of a club at the moment they seem intent on signing galacticos rather than building a balanced squad. The fans have developed this sense of entitlement much like the Liverpool did when they started to be st, the Chief exec doesn't seem to know what he wants nor do the owners.
Id like to think Poch will stay and try to finish what he started, Spurs seem to be moving in the right direction we have a great manager, a great team the fans are happy we have a shot at being quite successful, with a little investment this club could really go places with Poch and I cant see him trading places just yet.
As an aside isn't it typical with the press it seems every time we look like were getting somewhere the media seem intend on moving our players / managers on.

I think the press are a little put out when the status quo is threatened.
No disrespect to the team, but Leicester don't count. This is a blip and a season full of all cups and leagues will expose their limitations and they will most likely be back below the top four next season. The press are happy with that.
Spurs will be looking to cement their place and have a good run in the CL. It will be at the detriment to either Chelsea or Man Utd and I'm not sure they're happy about that.

He's only just finished getting rid of the players he doesn't want at Spurs - how long do you think that he would need to clear out all dross at United, deal with all the current superstar egos, then bring in all his own players and get them playing to the style & philosophy that he desires - 2, 3 seasons? Do you think that the Press or fans would give him that long? They hardly seem to have shown much patience with Moyes or LVG.But.... is it the right time to jump ship from spurs to manyoo we will more than likely have CL football next season they wont. I think his tenure at Spurs will be more to do with how his relationship with Levy develops. He's pragmatic to know that we won't be buying Neymar any time soon but there will be money available to strengthen each season. It's whether Levy starts selling any of our current crop (Kane, Alli....anyone really) against Poch's wishes. I'd say he'd be off in a flash if that ever happened. No point building something if it gets pulled down in front of your eyes. We currently have a core squad that could continue to grow and improve for the next 5-8 years. Shades of United under Fergie, with Shcoles, Becks, Giggs, Neville etc. If you can add one quality addition each season, we could realistically be challenging for the title (or at least top 4) for years to come. And if so, the player's are more likely to stay, rather than having their heads turned do to lack of success (Modric, Berbs, Bale etc).
Or he could just be a we for cash - who really knows?
