I'm not getting involved till the large lady starts singing.
i'm with you, it is far too soon to start anticipating finishing above Arsenal. We may be 9 points ahead but they have a game in hand and there are 9 games to go. I'm not getting involved till the large lady starts singing.
We lose 2 games in a row and we are right in the poop again.
If we get to 12 points ahead with 5 games to go I might, just might start believing.

We (the firm that i work for) are fitting all the gas & water pipes & there's well over a thousand to still to make, cut groove & weld.
I would say the seats are purely for show.
The seats will be to see how they look and function in-situ before being signed off. Theyll then be used as the 'benchmark' for the future installation of seating and referenced back to if theres an issueI would say the seats are purely for show.

More rumours about Ross Barkley, would be fantastic if that came off.
Where is he going to play?Ascayman said:
Like that fat bloke You bought from West ham at the same sort of age? How did that work out?
That worked out pretty well but it's dangerous to extrapolate that all fat blokes of a certain age will blossom into legends. If that were the case I'd be busy polishing my medals right now instead of wasting my life on Pistonheads.Barclay is like Wilshere and plenty of others. Wilshere was a great hope for Arsenal and England and now can't even get in the Bournemouth eleven.
If Barclay can't consistently stand out for Everton (less pressure than Spurs) what makes you so sure your manager knows how to sort his motivation out?

Look at how he has improved rose with walker. Look what he's done with kane and Alli. I'd love to see him work with someone with the natural talent of Barkley. We aren't one of the financially doped we can't buy ready made superstars we have to make them and our manager has form.
The starting XI is pretty much there, any signings this summer will be to improve the depth of the squad. It'll be likely that the players sat on the bench most of the time will be worth more than the starting XI.
If Poch can make Danny Rose good, I think he can work his magic on Berkley.

I think we need a really strong midfielder more than we need a striker at the moment. Kane is our front man and I'd say he's easily in the top 5 in the premiership right now. We have Son, Eriksen or Alli who can all score if needs be. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have someone really good to backup Kane but we aren't the kind of club who can just buy a decent striker only to sit him on the bench in case Kane gets injured.
That's why I'd prefer to buy either a top class playmaker or big aggressive holding midfielder to sit just behind Eriksen and stop the other team playing, win balls and move the ball up the field. Someone who can make an immediate impact on our game rather than being a stand-in for our number 1 choice.

We already have midfield covered with Wanyama, Dembele, Winks, Eriksen, Dier, Alli etc. Wanyama, Alli and Eriksen are 1st choice and we aren't going to be able to upgrade on them. So we'd only be buying additional cover unless we can find someone better than Dembele. The weak position in our first team is the Son/Lamela/N'Kouda/Sissoko attacking/wide role. We could definitely upgrade here. This would be the one player/position that could make us title challengers but it would have to be a player of the ability of a Sanchez/Bale or similar to actually make a difference. That's why I'd prefer to buy either a top class playmaker or big aggressive holding midfielder to sit just behind Eriksen and stop the other team playing, win balls and move the ball up the field. We have cover everywhere else, so it would be more of a case of improving on the second 11 - Wimmer, N'kouda, Sissoko etc. Obviously if we had Toby, Wanyama and Kane all out together for a long period, we'd struggle. But so would any team if you take their 3 best players away.

We already have two pretty aggressive midfielders, I don't think we need any more, but we would definitely benefit from the playmaker particularly if Lamela is going to remain AWOL. Someone who can make the ball stick to them and then spray passes around to unlock defences. Our inability to do this has been evident a lot of times this season particularly in the plethora of draws where we play lovely attractive football right up to the opponents 18 yard box then start playing across the field and back forever and day because we can't find a way around or through.TEKNOPUG said:

There is talk of Zaha from the Palace, i'd much prefer him to Barkley .We have cover everywhere else, so it would be more of a case of improving on the second 11 - Wimmer, N'kouda, Sissoko etc. Obviously if we had Toby, Wanyama and Kane all out together for a long period, we'd struggle. Marcus Edwards will feature for sure next season as will Kazaiah Sterling.
TBH I just want Poch to carry on what he's doing & would rather not sign a barry big bks type.
