Saying that there's 2 teams with no experience of winning the league in the running isn't exactly true. The Arsenal squad haven't either.

Only Man City have in recent times.
This is a good point , i'm guessing none of the Leicester, Woolwich or Spurs players have ever won the premier league.

hang on Wellbeck ? scratchchin

Stoke have more CL winners in their squad than City, Arsenal & ManU combined....

The question is now would you concentrate on the league, or can we battle on three fronts?

I still can't quote believe this is the same spurs side I've supported since the mid 90's! Bonkers!

pleased for whole team..... but walker was sloppy with their goal, not fair on trippier to be benched given how well he's been playing....
You know what? Walker was at fault for the goal. However his chasing back in the first half and making interceptions as the ball went astray was excellent. I thought one of the best defensive games he has had for a long time.

As someone else said, I think we have to get used to the fact that Poch picks his teams to win. In my opinion he gambled that Zabaletta would play right back, hence he picked Rose. Rose can get involved and has that bit of nastiness about him- perfect for Zabaletta.

Same as with Walker, he picked him because he wanted Clichy/Kolarov to be busy all night. Trippier as much as I like him does not worry other teams with pace. If Trippier played their left back would have been all over us with him defending. Pick Walker and they have to defend.

I remember watching the City vs Spurs game in 2013 - they won 4-3 or 5-4 - after a Bale wonder goal. All we had on the pitch was Bale, Modric, and some other players giving a lot of effort. We were outclassed despite challenging for league.

Last night we looked like a proper team. I am 40 and daring to believe for first time in my life.

I know it will go all Spursy at some point - but there was some serious praise going on from Andy Gray and Kevin Keegan on BEIN sports last night, and is interesting seeing even the pundits seeing the change. I'll still take 4th, and dream of better.

It was a great performance but we certainly rid our luck. We could have lost it a few times due to our defense falling asleep a couple of times. The last 10 minutes were like the spurs of old and im glad we didn't fail but we need to remain in a positive attitude when defending the lead. We should not have gone so deep in our own half at the end. Also thank god we have Lloris. He saved the game with his last touch.

I think Poch got it spot on yesterday by picking Walker & Rose ,

Aguero is a nippy little fker & i'm not sure that Trippier or Davies have the pace to keep with him.

Walker is prone to the odd clanger but his pace is irreplaceable . All in all i thought they were both terrific yesterday & we must have the best array of full backs in the league.

It's just great being a spud right now.

Still think we are trying to be too cute in the final third. Against well organised defences I think we take a few too many touches. Even though we have the likes of Alli, Eriksen, Lamela etc, we still lack one real class act in the final third, like a Bale, VdV or Ginola to unlock defences. For all Rose's and to a lesser extent Walker's possession out wide, we seem loathe to throw some early crosses in towards Kane. Still, best GD in the league, so what do I know? hehe

Rose and Walker are pretty poor when it comes to crossing. Davies and Trippier are much better.

Rose and Walker are faster/quicker though so can understand why they play as well.

Thanks for that - made an enjoyable watch with my afternoon cup of tea.
Love to see the camaraderie between players before the kick off. Didn't realise Kompany was as tall as that!

It's good isn't it.

There seemed a little beef at half time between Dier & Toure too.

I like Dier a lot. He's got something about him - old school central defender/defensive midfielder type.
