I love Costa, he's the quickest box to skirmish player I've ever seen. He can be 70 yards away from a square up between 2 other players, but he'll always be the 3rd player to get involved. He's got real pace.
At least we don't have to put up with watching him play midweek next season, Apart from the early rounds of the league cup that is until the big boys come in.

Too right! Is it always like this in here?

Spurs didn't lose the title IMO, Man City looked like a shoe in at the start of the season then went off the boil, Arsenal then looked to take on the mantle of it being theirs to lose and then did the same, neither of them recovered with hugely inconsistent performances all year.

Spurs have got stronger and stronger as the season went on, and I'm convinced had they started the season the way they finished (ignoring last 2 games) then we'd have been neck and neck at the end. The win Leics got at WHL was significant though.

I was reasonably confident we'd get the points needed in our last few games irrespective of Spurs performances, however when the gap closed to 5 I confess to getting a twitchy bum smile

What makes you think we couldn't take it? Didn't we come from 2 down to get the result we wanted?
You wanted a draw?
That was all that was required.

I'm not sure you really understand the mind set of professional footballers!

You lost the League as you didn't win the League, it's fairly simple to understand.
I think you will find Chelsea lost the league. We haven't won it since 1961. This little graphic may help explain it.

Last year Man City lost the league to you. This year you were the only team could lose it.

Next year hopefully Leicester will lose the league to Spurs. That is how it works. A 38 game season, and you play a different team twice (once home and once away). Only when you have played all of those games (or all other teams run out of games to earn those points) can you win the league. Leicester won this with 2 games remaining to play. Chelsea lost this with (I would guess) 10 games to play?

Spurs did not win the league. Leicester did.

I hope this helps

I think all 19 teams who didn't win the league lost it. It was a competition with 20 entrants. In the end there are 19 losers and a winner.

Just because some of the entrants set themselves targets that were below outright victory and achieved them, doesn't mean they didn't lose.

I love how Spurs fans are hailing this their greatest ever side and best season ever, and for Arsenal they are having fans protests against the manager and everyone saying how they've been hugely inconsistent. The difference between Arsenal and Spurs... 3 points.

Teknopug - do you honestly think Ighalo and Long would be better than Martial and Rooney? I take it you're a troll. Ighalo is just the new Papisse Cisse, good start and then fking woeful.
