It's really becoming really real. Black can man said:
My Spurs mad boy likened Vincent Janssen to our other hot marksman Grzegorz Rasiak after watching the Juve game.
Please say he's wrong .
I haven't seen anything of him so I can't really comment. Please say he's wrong .
It's a lot of money for someone who has basically had just 3 good months though.. I'm not expecting anything of him this season.
I'm trusting that Poch & Mitchell have done their homework on Janssen, he certainly has all the right attributes. Scoring goals in the Dutch league may not be a huge achievement, but the likes of Van Basten, Nistelrooy, Bergkamp, Kluivert and RVP all had to start somewhere. It will be interesting to see if we stick with 1 up front and use him purely as back up or if Poch has a system with 2 forwards. At least we have options now.

It's probably still harder than cashing tv rights money in the EPL. And you've might've mist it but just recently half of the Tottenham squad played in the Eredivisie.

Different times. They more than just "started" there. They played multiple seasons at Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord, mostly on a top level (RVP less so), becoming top scorer and winning (European)titles. That's the problem these days, half a decent season and a player suddenly finds himself in the EPL, Turkye, Saudi Arabia or China for way too much money.

Let's just hope for Janssen they give him enough playing time, otherwise he's at the wrong club at 22 years old.Blib said:
As we have the youngest EPL squad and play the youngest EPL team week in week out under Poch, I would suggest that he's at the perfect club for a 22 year old.
Sounds good.Blib said:
Until it's proven that he's a terrible liability and should be sold for peanuts.
Well it's quite obvious he isn't the ultimate talent like Van Basten, Bergkamp or Kluivert were. Let's just hope he's a Van Nistelrooy, who also needed some more years to fulfill his potential.lionelf said:
£37m for someone you likely didn't know existed before this transfer hit the papers. Nuts. And if you're saying to yourself 'Who's he talking about' then that's my point.
If I say £100m you probably think 'Pogba' which is a disgrace in itself but at least you're aware of him.
wrong thread??If I say £100m you probably think 'Pogba' which is a disgrace in itself but at least you're aware of him.

Think you might be a bit shocked with Leroy -- he is very good, get to watch quite a lot of German football now with it being on BT Sport - he will oust Sterling from their 1st team put it that way If I say £100m you probably think 'Pogba' which is a disgrace in itself but at least you're aware of him.
