Carter-Vickers getting a look in with the first team.

I guess this will be the test of if Poch thinks he'll be good enough as 4th choice CB.

6-1

Not too shabby.

Edwards looks like a highly talented kid too.

First run out in pre season for the first team. Pretty impressive.

A stable squad with a couple of additions is much better than bringing in loads of players.

Lamella will rip up the league this season.

I don't expect Ali to be quite as good, that's a hell of a debut season to follow and he's only just 20.

Every team around us has strengthened their first team we haven't, we've bought two good squad players but need someone to change those draws into wins.

Some worrying rumours regarding Ericksen flying about, we really need to sign him up.

Why would you upset the balance of the team for a 'star' signing? I don't get it. Which position needs this 'star'? More importantly, how would the acquisition of such a player affect the established young side?

I think we are fine as we are.

It doesn't matter if its a 'star' or not, what we need to do is make our first team better, we haven't done that yet.

Totally agree, such togetherness in the squad, bringing in a marquee signing risks schisms in the dressing room, anyway our salary structure won't allow it.

I'd argue that we should 'grow' as a team. That's something we've never done before and have the ideal opportunity to do now a la Man Utd with Becks, Giggs, Neville etc. They've had 1 season together and I think we should see what happens this season and next and if things don't progress then start thinking about buying a 'star' player.

We've a settled team and a strong squad. All around us others are tearing theirs apart. I'd rather be a witness to the madness than be part of it.
