I very bizarre turn of events, very un-Spurs like.
30 million isn't that much these days.
On Sissoko it is lol.

Not sure if this is true but...

I've just been told Newcastle owe Spurs £17M already (Andros Townsend I assume) so it's a £13M deal if you want to soften the blow for Spurs fans.
Or a £13m deal + Townsend.

So, as you were saying, a £13m deal.

Don't think he was needed. Don't see where he will play. Don't think he's worth the money. But hopefully it will shut up some moaning fans about spending money.

This tweet sums it up nicely.

It's a deadline day hat trick.. N'Koudou...Lopez...Sissoko...COYS:

IN (£72m)
Sissoko £30m
Wanyama £11m
Janssen £20m
N'Koudou £11m
Lopez LOAN

OUT (£35m)
Mason (Hull) £8m
Chadli (WBA) £13m
Yedlin (New) £5m
Pritchard (Nor) £9m
Bentaleb (Schalke) LOAN
N'Jie (Marseille) LOAN

Well Levy has backed Poch with a +£37m spend, it's time to deliver.

You are going to have to pass on the net positive grumblestick now, or maybe it's like the World Cup so if you win it so many times you get to keep it. Would help fill out the shelves in the trophy cabinet. beer

I think, player for player, the ins are better than the outs.

Therefore we are stronger than last year.

Not a bad window.

If we had stuck that game changer in the mix as well we'd be over the moon, but let's not get above ourselves.

Trust in Poch!

This is my first doubt in Poch.

I can only think that he needs Sissoko for the (short-lived) ECL campaign we're embarking on. The player himself seems to feel that Champions League football suits his game so we'll have to wait and see.

What does concern me is that you don't usually bench a £30m player so something/someone has to give.

I hope this doesn't upset the obvious karma in the dressing room. Looking at them all we must surely have the squad with the biggest body mass in the league by now eek

Anyway, as has been said, well done Levy although I fear he may have been too profligate this time.

I'm not too sure about Sissoko neither , when i went to bed last night he was heading to Everton.

I can't believe that Poch & Levy would be prepared to spend this much on a player without doing their homework on him first.

All in all a decent summer for us.

Even with a £30m dud like Sissoko stinking up the place we'll still finish higher than the scousers. hehe

Levy - £30m on Sissoko - it's like I've fallen through the Rabbit hole.

That implies he put a shift in.

I have two theories. Both of which are correct. Or not.

Firstly, Sisoko has five, full, epoch changing seasons in him and that our glorious manager is just the man to bring him to his full potential.

Secondly, that Poch is beginning to believe his own hype.

Well he transformed Dembele who probably wasn't far off being shipped out to Hull/Sunderland etc.

Only time will tell.

Sissoko certainly believes he has those 5 seasons in him. Quite a step up from the 5 games he managed last season, all of which came after game 38...

He was resting up in Newcastle. Awaiting a team that deserves his full attention.
