On the face of it Sissoko/Wanyama/N'Koudou are probably upgrades on Bentaleb/Mason/Chadli. But still think we lack creativity...could have done with another Eriksen type player.

^^^

100% agree.

I think Lamela may be the one to lose his regular spot depending on where and who we are playing.

You are going to have to pass on the net positive grumblestick now, or maybe it's like the World Cup so if you win it so many times you get to keep it. Would help fill out the shelves in the trophy cabinet. beer
No we won't. You've just got to take a view over 5 seasons rather than one! wink

Add a few trophies and it'll be even better!

The game is awash with money...£30m is the new £5m. It's almost irrelevant how much he costs and if he doesn't work out he will be sold and replaced with another...

Can't see lamela making way. Would be Erikson if anyone I would have thought.

I don't really see him as a forward player though. He's very similar to dembele so I'd have thought he'd be best suited to play in the two defensive midfield positions.

In my mind he doesn't make the first 11 if everyone isfit but it's a lot of money for a sub. Time will tell I guess.

Sorry to upset Ascayman wink but the Sissoko deal is looking quite like another excellent Levy deal!

£6m a year so if he stays 3 years that's £18m less whatever we sell him on for.

So you get to keep the sell on transfer fee as well?
surely it will be 6 million a year, plus transfer fee up to a maximum of 30 million?

Dunno. It's a gamble, he could be worth fk all in 3 years time or he could be Pogba mk2. He could cost us bugger all after 4 years if transfer inflation is constant. No matter which way you look at it far from Newcastle bending us over I'd say they just got tagged by Levy. Join the club.

Correct me if I am wrong here but I am pretty sure all transfers are done this way - very few are not i.e your Bale 1 I think was done in 1

We received only the other week about a 15m installment for Suarez

Its nothing ground breaking by Levy, Lionel or is it and I am missing the point?

I think the suggestion here is that if Sissoko leaves Spurs in 2 years, they'll only need to pay Newcastle £12m.

Of course I think this is mostly PR spin, since Everton were willing to pay £30m to Newcastle - there's no reason why Newcastle would then want to accept a lesser offer from another club.
