The replay of Kane going over on his ankle made me wince.
Only just seen that, horrible.Still 30 chances and only one goal, perhaps he needs a rest.

Sunderland were really poor today but their fans were outstanding , they deserve more than the garbage they watch .
Great atmosphere in the old shelf today.
Glad for the 3 points .

"You're nothing special....we lose every week" - priceless. The Sunderland support was very good.
Can't help feeling one of the top sides would have put three or four past them though, typical Spurs result that our dominance didn't get the goals it deserved. Still after the showing midweek it's good to get the three points. Perversely I'm happy about the injury to Kane - will take the spotlight off him and he can go and regroup, but he needs a pat on the back for winning me £25.
On another day we'd have had several. Their keeper was outstanding today and we had some snap shots when a calmer option was available.
Although it's a shame to lose Kane, as others have said, it may be a blessing. A good performance, three points and only another 29 to get to stay up.

Still didn't think we looked particularly good yesterday although we always struggle to breakdown teams that come to defend so im just happy for the 3pnts.
I thought that was Son's best game for spurs he might not have got a goal but he was a constant threat, thought Kane played really well too, hopefully this injury wont keep him out too long we really cant afford to be without him for any period of time.
Great to have Dembelle back, Dier looked comfortable at CB too although he wasn't up against much, Strange decision to drop Davis, Vertongen isn't a LB. Lamella looked very good when he came on Sissoko was dog st.

He dropped Davis as he didn't want to play him 4 games in a row in the space of 2 weeks.
The bigger surprise was moving Dier to CB rather than play Wimmer of Carter-Vickers, but I guess it meant that he didn't have to drop Dier or Wanyama to get Dembele back in.
Rose should be back for next week so im not sure that's really the case. The bigger surprise was moving Dier to CB rather than play Wimmer of Carter-Vickers, but I guess it meant that he didn't have to drop Dier or Wanyama to get Dembele back in.
Yeah that was a strange one too, perfect opportunity to give wimmer a run out I feel sorry for him I think there's actually an argument to play him in front of Vertogan.

I thought Sissoko did OK. Tested the keeper early on, put in some great crosses and generally acquitted himself well. Janssen, on the other hand, came on and continued to be thoroughly mediocre. The crowd seem to love him but he's been completely ineffectual in every game I've watched him. He's a bit of a lumbering unit who can hold a ball up so I suppose that makes him a good replacement for Kane whilst he's injured but we need a fast nimble poacher in the centre of our attack (a bit like a Defoe type of player). Him, Dembele, Dier, Wanyama. We're not going to get outmuscled.
We're a real big powerful side I think on Sunday only walker in our starting 11 was under 6ft, even our tiddly is huge. The problem is though that when we play all those we aren't terribly creative. Id like to always se two of Erikson, Delle and Lamela playing. Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
