Liverpool will no doubt play a very strong team & good luck to them as they have little else to do midweek these days but we can't be risking our better players in this two bob cup.
I imagine our team will be made up of 2nd string and youth, something likeMignolet
Randall Llori Klavan Moreno
Ejaria Lucas Stewart
Ings Sturridge Origi
None of which are what we would call 1st choice

If that's the case it's battle of the second stringers...how sad, yet reflective of that competition.
tbh I like to see some of the youth given a go, happy to go spend some of my money tonight and see people who might be able to break in ie ings, origi, ejaria, stewart etc m3sye said:
tbh I am thinking more a long the line of RT's in our thread..... he is going to make changes, prob 6-8 from last game but maybe just a few less youth ...
To be honest if I was a pool fan id be disappointed if he did anything other than put out his strongest side, why would he not? its not as if youre inundated with games this season, youre at home against a side that aren't taking it a seriously why on earth wouldn't he do his best to get into the next round? ascayman said:

Looking at Liverpools fixtures last season while they were in it they played:
26, 30th Dec
2, 5, 8, 13, 17, 20, 23, 26, 30 Jan
That's in the Prem, LC and FA cup.
With that sort of congestion you can see why you'd want to rotate massively or go out of the LC.

Tonight's team: Vorm, Trippier, Carter-Vickers, Wimmer, Davies; Dier (c), Winks; Onomah, Carroll, Nkoudou; Janssen.
Just about what I expected although I thought Wanyama might start.
Subs: Lopez, Walkes, Vertonghen, Amos, Lamela, Wanyama, Harrison.
Liverpool: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Lucas, Klavan, Moreno, Stewart, Wijnaldum, Grujic, Ejaria, Origi, Sturridge.
